Take out the Canadian massacre early on and this has been one of the better Rogers Cups (both men and women) I can remember. Tsonga hit a 147MPH serve...out wide! Wow.

markhmasters: Canada's Daniel Nestor & Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic advance to doubles semis

It would be great for old man Nestor to win another doubles title.

Bouchard's been the only surprise and Polansky was a nice bonus. Dubois took a set, Dancevic took a set, even Abanda took a set.

I didn't expect Pospisil to beat Gasquet twice in 5 days.

You have to feel for Kevin Anderson, he had the match won and dumped the winner into the net. That could take some time to get over.

Milos scrapes by in tie-breaker to force third set. Lopez starting to make errors. Lopez might have hurt himself, falling on set point.

Milos falls to deuce after three break points.

Has not broke serve once.

7 break points in this game . . . 8 . . . 9 . . . Can't close.

This is like Cilic-Federer last night. If Lopez can save this I like his chances to win the set just like Cilic did.

Milos broken, down 5-3.

He will have to learn to win rallys longer than 5 shots to break opponents.

No nice way to put it. Raonic threw the match away. He'll be pretty pissed at that result.

When will Raonic figure out how to do a backhand?

When Milos had a chance to break at 0-40 he just couldn't do it. That was a hell of a game though. Lopez did a great job and hung in there.

The fact Milos can't win sustained rallies just puts more pressure on his serve to be perfect. Anything less and he simply can't beat top players.

You're right. I really saw that when he played Fed at Wimbledon. He could not rally with Fed. Fed made him look completely stupid. He needs to improve on his all around game or he will continue to lose against Joker and Nadal and Fed as well.

Didn't see this one but did it look legit or fixed? It's been a very long time since Venus has been near the same level as Serena, and even back when they were younger their matches often had a janky, questionable feel to them, like a poorly choreographed wrestling match.

Tsonga made short work of Dimitrov (6-4, 6-3)

Tsonga looking legit at the moment. I think he out powers Roger in the final.

With Milos out, I'm jumping on the Tsonga bandwagon, I hope he takes the title tomorrow.
