The latest Ukrainian air and sea campaign is absolutely devastating for Putin. While Russians are bleeding to death for tiny villages in the Donbas, Ukraine is targeting economic neurocenters of Russia's economy.
"Nobody attacked russia, nobody threatened it. It was putin's regime that attacked Ukraine - solely because of the megalomania of its leaders, because of the inhuman thirst for power over everything around it." https://twitter.com/user/status/1880172030785384844

The situation is still essentially stable, and despite some.of the doom and gloom, there are no obvious, visible immediate breakpoints, and the question of whether Russia or Ukraine will break first remains open, with or without US aid.
Ukraine still has significant local arms production, their own stockpile of old Soviet stuff like T-64s has not run out for example, they still have significant outside support.
(It's also worth noting that Trump is not necessarily going to be against Ukraine just buying materiel from the US.)
That said, air defense was not covered in this video and my understanding is that that specific area is the one where US aid has beem most irreplaceable.)

I keep hoping the various other countries in Europe realize funding Ukraine to defeat Russia when Russia is literally on its last legs and a decent push will finish them is way way cheaper than the 5% of GDP Trump is demanding for defense spending

Any concrete news about aid to Ukraine with the new US administration? Tons of slop all over the internet; its hard to keep track of what Trump "said he would do" and what Trump is actually doing.
Trump is currently threatening using his only hammer. At least he's not both siding it yet. But threatening Putin might not be the best move with the piss tape out there.

I am cautiously optimistic that Trump is such a narcissist, he now sees Putin as extremely weak and with him refusing to end the war now as he promised, he is taking it out on him and will force him to end the war.
So far everything I have read and heard has been very critical of Putin and how poorly he's doing. It's probably throwing the MAGA and pro-russia agents for a spin. The cut to foreign aid apparently doesn't impact Ukraine as the aid is not in monetary value.
Zelensky is playing it extremely well, buttering him up and selling a post war Ukraine as a Trump ally and resource rich land for him. Putin can't end the war, even if the lines were drawn as is today as it means the end of him.
Zelensky could just tell Trump he is renaming Kyiv as Trumpgrad
