While Russian battlefield losses are escalating and the Soviet-era depots are depleting, the latest sanction package targeting Russia‘s shadow fleet of 183 ships is further tightening the noose around Russia‘s economic neck.
Wagner was a shadow army as well for a while, operating 'independently' of Russia in countries abroad. They've since been outed though so are the worst kept 'shadow army' in the world now.
Alright, this sounds like a good story. Let's hear it...
One of my old kids used to provide roofies for a pimp, his girls used to drop them into a guys drinks then when he passed out they'd rob them, I realize this is a shocking breach of the prozzies moral code of conduct, the idea they would rather rob a guy than have him stick his stanky assed dick in them is difficult to believe but there you are, it happens, normally the guy wakes up with no wallet and is too ashamed to go to the cops but occasionally they choke on their vomit and it's not like she's sticking around to keep an eye on him

It's funny too how the guy clearly went to Thailand because he wanted dick, but didn't want anyone at home to know he's got a thing for dick. In fact, isn't in criminal now in Russia?
And now it's in international news, and his family knows how he died.
I choose to believe Ukrainian intelligence knew his travel plans and paid the young lady to do their dirty work.

A lot of Russians have the reputation as the rowdier/crappier party tourists that travel abroad. Not unlike, say, Brits or Aussies. Tons of russians in Thailand who romp around like they own the place and refuse to respect where they are. Wouldn't surprise me if he had a target on his back by simply acting like a jackass and came across the wrong crew.

When I was in Vietnam to meet my wife's family I had some interesting experiences just walking around the touristy areas. I must look a bit slavic, as several times some vendor would come up to me and start speaking Russian trying to sell me something. But as soon as I would say "Not Russian, Canadian" they would get excited and switch to English, and immediately rant about how much they hate Russians. They're tolerated because of the amount of money they bring in, but any local I've spoken with in that area want nothing to do with them aside from the money
I'll never forget the smell of alcohol and vomit from the plane I got on in Vietnam after it had come from Russia. All the flight attendants spent the entire flight up front with the curtain pulled, and left us with that stank. I don't blame them. It was savage. I'm pretty sure every inhabitant of Phu Quoc did not harbour good feelings towards the Russians, and they were everywhere.

When I was in Mamaris, Turkey, we went into a jewelry store and my wife picked up a necklace to try on and the lady working in the store came over screaming at her to put it down and not touch anything. We were kind of shocked and said sorry, then she paused and looked really apologetic. She said "you are not Russian?", and we said no, Canadian. Then she apologized, said she loved Canadians, and that we try on anything we want. Then she also went on about how Russians are always stealing and breaking things, but never buy anything. And yeah, the city had a lot of Russian tourists and ex-pats living there.

Of course they do, the top of the ticket trained them.

This is the PC version of events. I recall when this was rumored to have happened and it went something like this.
Kraft was in Russia on a business trip with lot's of other businessman and members of the US State Department
Kraft showed Putin the Superbowl ring who was amazed at the size of it. Put it on his finger and uttered something along the lines of "I could actually kill someone with this ring"
He proceeded to walk off with his security detail while Kraft was protesting and hollering for him to come back. A member of the US State Department effectively told him that his property was gone, never coming back and in the interest of national security and diplomatic relations, he should and will STFU about it and that's that.
