Are you guys watching the other series? EDM has had the easiest path to the conference finals they could hope for. Been a dream. Thry don’t even need the rest. They haven’t been touched let alone hit.

I don’t expect Dallas to roll over like LA and Vegas although I’m kinda resigned to it.

That stupid coach of theirs has them playing near flawless hockey. Neither LA nor Vegas had any answers for the Oilers defensive systems.

They have game breakers, they have depth, they’re getting good goaltending and they look tough. They have manhandled both LA and Las Vegas. They had both those teams playing scared.

With how bad Dallas was last year against the grease pigs, I really hope Winnipeg can make a comeback as I have no trust in Dallas.

Dallas looked heartless and disinterested last year.

I think people forget that Dallas outplayed Edmonton last season...Jake wasn't great, he actually had a poor playoffs overall for him but this season he looks good. Not to mention now they have Rantanen.

To suggest last season is relevant at all let alone to the point it doesn't even matter is pretty ridiculous

And after choking last year you would hope that would give Dallas even more motivation.

Lol Hellebuyck would allow 10 goals against per game.

I'll take my chances with Oetter. I'd say Dallas would have a 30% chance and Winnipeg 3% against them.

I think we see some curve balls in round 3 and it's a Dallas-Carolina final.

We discount how unpredictable the playoffs tend to be. Eventually teams break through, and those two feel due.

After that Vegas performance, I’m an idiot for wanting VGK to beat Minny. As somebody said earlier, the Wild would have put up more of a fight. They were a rough team with JEE and kaprizov on a scoring streak. Likely would have lost to the pigs in 6, but might have taken a pound of flesh at least and created more bumps, bruises and injuries. Scrappy team.
Couldn’t have been worse than Vegas.

Meh. Even if the grease win it all. They're still E=NG because they had to mclottery it how many times?

There's a reason the lottery changed. It's because of that sh*t organization.

Well, if we're going with that line of thinking, no one is more due than the laffs...

4 lotteries and taking 11 McDavid years to do it is still pathetic.

But I think the luck finally tapers out next round and McDavid has enough of Edmonton.

Yeah they missed him, he is one of their best players. What is the debate? I am trying to calculate how they will do against a better team in Dallas.

As much as its 4-1 we have two OT games with major Oiler breaks in both and a game with Vegas missing one of their best players. I think its reasonable to suggest they need to be better against Dallas.

Did anyone think the Pacific bracket was harder than the Central at the start of the playoffs? Suddenly a team that beat the Avs and potentially the Jets is no match for the Oilers?

Dallas has home ice too and just got back their top scorer and #1 dman.

Dallas outshot Edmonton 34-10 in game 6 they were incredibly unlucky and they have added an all star level player

Nope, the final game was the only game that Dallas outplayed the grease pigs, they were outshot in every other game. They looked like government workers on a Friday before a long weekend. They were almost as bad as the Knights were this year.

Dallas added a legit top line forward. I argue biggest addition. Granlund was steal too

Off top of head
Walman
Klingberg
Podkohzin
Skinner

Lets put it this way if Dallas had Rantanen last year I think the Stars would have won the series. Also, Jake needs to be better...he has had a good playoffs thus far.

Its not much of an argument Rantanen is by far the biggest addition. Guy has 120 playoff points in 92 playoff games we are talking an all time performer.
