Is it the fault of the posters in this thread, that the Oilers continue to provide such an easy target? You know, there is one way to shut everyone up.... win. That's right, its simple... to shut up all that oppose you; take away the reason that you are mocked.
The Oilers have been given every opportunity to succeed... and I mean every opportunity. Anyone in the Calgary Puck Community can see what no one in HF Boards - Edmonton has been unable to see. Now, the Oilers have the best player in the world; however, the team that has been constructed around him by the Oilers "Old Boys Club" is clearly not going to win anything anytime soon.
The Oilers will be mocked until they are able to silence the critics, by winning, and I can't see that happening for quite a while.
