If Mike Smith gets a shutout but three shots ring off the post should we boo him Lol.

You appear to be lost, would you like directions to the Mike Smith is actively costing us games thread (which fortunately appears to be dormant for days)?
* That’s good goaltending, nothing to scoff at.
James Neal did score last night!

I don’t think he breaks 10 goals this year.

Hockey is funny that way and I'm sure you'll recall many other examples in the past of proven scorers breaking out of slumps by getting that first one in thanks to a deflection off a skate or their behind. The good thing is, Neal has been getting good chances for quite a stretch now. Confidence from that goal might mean he lets his shots off quicker now or skates to those open areas faster.

The amazing thing is that Neal came in wanting to help the Flames take that next step. The Flames fans showed Neal that we do support him and care about his struggles. The players seemed quite happy for him as well. Probably a really good guy and everyone wants him to do well!

going back to that time that Peters had Neal in the shootout was purely coaching imo, to show Neal that the coaches and the team still believed in him... i think he appreciated that and also the the ovation the fans gave to him after he score.
If Neal can start producing, it makes that 3rd line with Bennett and Janko a very intriguing line
really hoping that the few games since the christmas break are a harbinger for better days to come for Neal

Neal has four goals and probably 10 posts/missed empty nets
I don't think 10 is a stretch

Did anyone thank Scorp yet for his jersey purchase?
Even if so--worth doing so a second time.
So...
Thanks, Scorp!

LOL, guess I should've gotten a Brouwer jersey in 2016 then. Thanks

Since his accidental goal, Neal is -3 with a combined 1 shot on goal in the last two games. Yet Dube and sits in the press box and this guy gets time night after night on PP2.
Neal has Smith to thank tonight for the spotlight being elsewhere.

Dunno what to say anymore. He's not even boat anchor or plug quality at this point. What is his problem? Couldn't even be bothered to skate the extra 2 feet tonight to not ice the Puck. This dude along with Smith is now costing us points. Give the team the money back James, you thief!

It's true though it's not like he's spewing nonsense. The guy is useless. Smith and Neal need to get out of Flames jerseys. It's been half the season and both have been brutal. The Flames have have won in-spite of both of them

Look who’s back attacking a poster rather than discussing the thread. You have the choice not to read the Neal thread if you don’t want to discuss Neal.
I assume you think Neal played well tonight? Did you watch? Do you think his game is not worthy of criticism?

He isnt good but we are stuck with him. It's almost a moot point to bag on him anymore. He will be given as many chances as possible to turn it around because we dont really have a choice. No one else has the same ceiling and the benefits of him turning it around are far greater than Dube sitting a game or two.

Plenty of clubs are stuck with underperforming players...go on their forums and see if they refrain from discussing these players just because they’re stuck with them. I bet you’ll find plenty of discussion on these players.
Why is Neal so special?

Because I resurrected the thread from the bottom of page 2 with that post I made before yours. The post you initially responded to was the first to post in this thread for two days
I’m embarrassed for you now
Are you going to answer my questions? Was his game tonight not worthy of criticism?
