Iceland is a well organized and hard working team, not a fluke when they beat the Dutch twice in qualifying. England is England - it is fate for them to be eliminated in the round of 16.

Well that makes this year's Euro one of the best ever no matter what else happens. Unless you're an England fan, I suppose.

loooooooooooool I'm in a state of shock, watching this at work sucks, want to be out with everyone but this was utterly amazing.

I don't know how this team keeps doing it, but they clearly are such a united bunch of guys who have played together for a long time, they have so much heart that its hard not to love this team, no ego's at all.

Well obvious question to the England fans: Worst loss in England history?

According to commentators, this surpasses the 1956 loss to USA.

depends on what your criteria is. Personally from the games I've seen, I still think 1996 vs Germany hurt the most. 1998 vs Argentina and 2002 vs Brazil sucked too. This one is embarrassing, but doesn't really hurt.

Sack the manager
No passion
Overpaid
Vocal criticism RE:anthem
A player who wasn't picked is suddenly the best player in the world and would have made the difference
No passion (again)
Bottled it

There wasn't anymore than 2 or 3 min that England wasn't attacking. Iceland answering right away shocked England.
That set piece throw was executed to perfection.
Not a dull moment in this one.
The game was historic for Iceland and they matched the challenge.

It's not worth talking about England.

Credit to Iceland. Incredible performance. Love their fans. Their team plays as a team. They take no prisoners, they play with guts, gusto, and pride.

Ronaldo was oh so wrong about this team. They are amazing.

Is there even anyone really out there for England when they fire Hodgson? Doesn't seem like there's much out there.

They'll hire Sam Allardyce to spice up the football.

I'm an English fan and I'm totally fine with this. England does what England does. They're lousy. Hodgson will be gone (hopefully but with this FA who knows perhaps they'll give him an extension!)

Hope Iceland keep defying the odds. Good on them..

It doesn't hurt at all. It's laughable actually. I literally did laugh.

England are poorly coached, don't play as a team.

Stop press. Hodgson has resigned.... Shrug.
