Not a shock Parsons is joining the Heat, but it is unlikely he will play.

Gillies is the only player the Flames have or had up that was eligible to play in Stockton.

So who starts game 1? Gillies or Rittich?

I would have to guess that Gillies gets game one and we go from there. I love what Rittich has accomplished his first year here but lets see what we have in Gillies this playoff run.

Gillies easily. Rittich struggled down the stretch, having sub-par outing in 7 of his last 10 games. Gillies on the other hand was solid in 8 of his last 10 starts.

Even when Gillies was struggling a bit and Rittich was putting up top AHL numbers, they still gave Gillies the majority of the starts. It's his net.

PATRICK WILLIAMS @pwilliamsNHL
Usually there are usually 1-2 playoff teams that are easy to predict will be roadkill. Can't say there are any such teams this year. #AHL

3. SJ wins West...their reward is getting the most annoying, in-your-face team in the league in Stockton. #AHL

and I'd guess Ryan Lomberg is the most annoying, in-your-face player on the team.

Yes, he would be eligible. Off the top of my head Jeff Carter and Mike Richard's won the Calder Cup after their OHL seasons ended in 2005. Carter joined the Phantoms in the final week of the regular season while Richard's didn't until the second round of the playoffs.

Marc-Andre Fleury joined the Penguins AHL club as well after his QMJHL season ended in 2003-04.

Heat make some goalie changes:
McDonald sent back to ECHL and release Joel Rumpel.
Goaltenders with the heat now: Gillies, Rittich, and Parsons.

So first game is tonight at 8pm MST?
I'm thinking about buying the playoff pass from AHL live. $45 to watch all Stockton games for the playoffs (games seem to be $10 each otherwise).
Anyone stream through them regularly? How's the stability / quality?

Stability has always been good for me, quality is based on who is broadcasting it seems. But I will be doing this also.

quality wise you expect the same quality that the Heat show for highlights on youtube for Stockton home games.
Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
Per Stockton PR whiz @kiskerbc, Mangiapane/Jankowski are first pair of #Flames AHL rookies to score 20 g since Kobasew/Lombardi in 2002-03.

The games in San Jose are played in the same rink that the Sharks play in, so the quality should be good.

Looks like Heat scratches: Morrison, Phillips, Frattin, Poirier, AOM, Smith, Healey, Pribyl, Braes with a D coming out after warmup
Brandon Kisker @kiskerbc
San Jose scratches are Clifton, Kelly, Schoenborn, Martin, Gallant and one forward after warmups. Goalie scratches are Parsons & Armalis.
