He wants an operating well in his front yard. We have agreed to let him keep it if we can't find any potential in the well.
Last week, crackheads cut down a power pole into our site to steal this small transformer, zero value.
We should chat, I'm sure we have some horror stories on both sides.

We complain on their call in line sometimes. Truth is mother ####ers are throwing their garbage out their windows on country roads all the time. We go for walks every day and find new beer cans or what have you.
When I was 19 I was a chainman in a survey party doing of O and G pipeline depth checks. Even though we were only checking on stuff already in the ground farmers were the toughest costumers. They always wanted some money, or somethings haha. Makes sense, we love getting checks in the mail from O and G.

It's amazing how easily she can stand there and lie to Albertans, and tell them to verify her lies, which they do. And I know all politicians lie, but this is getting silly.

I think in years past, politicians didn't lie in the same way. Like... not blatantly and obviously.

Politicians used to tell lies that were either lies of omission, or 'technically correct, but practically wrong'.
Now it's just bald-faced lying.

Her alibis are hilarious. First it was the farmland. Then it was the views and scenery. Then it was the cleanup problem. Now it's the RMA told us to.
Nothing less than an obsessive compulsive liar.

New documents outline a massive increase in public funding for the Canadian Energy Centre's campaign to change attitudes toward Alberta's oil and gas.
An agency founded by Alberta's United Conservative government to fight what it calls misinformation about the province's industry and otherwise known as the "war room," the centre's most recent annual report shows it signed a $22-million contract last fiscal year for a media campaign. That's about three times its entire government grant from the previous year.

Still a colossal waste of money, but I'm sure our fiscally responsible Conservative voters will hold them to account for this. Right?

Low IQ voters.
And I guess you can't argue with success? As long as they are able to lie freely, break laws, and have zero consequences other than a 4:30 Friday tweet apology when they get "caught", why shouldn't they lie? Our systems are clearly flawed.

This would be a way of spreading around tax dollars to UCP friendly advertising companies- Since it is FOIP exempt, we'll never see how this money was actually spent

Are Kenney, Savage and Shandro still on the Board of Directors? Gotta keep those lucrative perks even if your political careers are toast.
What an absolute sham of an organization. Just an unmitigated disaster and ####ing the taxpayer over hard.

So now our tax dollars are directly funding rightwing misinformation sources. We should be stopping sources of misinformation, not funding it. Corey Morgan is getting paid by us. Thanks again UCP voters, you dumb ####s. Unreal.

Remember before the provincial election there was some conservative poster on here that took about 25 CP people to hold his hand as he was shown how a vote for UCP would hurt him, his family, his community, etc. and it took, like, a dozen pages to get him to reluctantly change his vote to NDP? At that point I knew we lost. These people are so beyond stupid that you cannot penetrate their brains unless you talk to them in a soothing turn, gently rock them while stroking their hair and generally treat them like the toddler thinkers they are. Then, after dozens of manhours you can maybe turn one vote. They're absolutely hopeless. We just have to play defense to try to limit their damage. They're going to storm around ####ing up all our #### and the only thing we can do is attempt to mitigate it.

I do think that's dirty pool, but it's in the shallow end.
Is it much more of a stretch to say that advertising in Murdoch owned news sources is the same thing? Or when Black owned the post?
They are doing worse things. If we want to attack misinformation it should be through other regulation/legislation and not through where advertising dollars are spent. From a pure strategy perspective, it's probably good that the cro magnons reading the WS ####rag will receive some government messaging. Certainly the UCP knows what it's base reads.

I mean, I hate the UCP as much as the next guy but it's probably just a regular government Google ad buy, not specifically buying ads on the Western Standard.
This is where The Breakdown is really annoying, they do some good digging but at the same time posting "From the DMs" with no effort to validate if it's true or something to really be outraged about.
It minimizes when they post something that is actually impactful.

It doesn't matter how the money flows, they are still funding a disinformation source run by racist bigots with tax dollars. It's gross.

Have they ever gotten anything right when they post those "from the DMs..." things? It's basically just misinformation or disinformation on the left side of the spectrum, in opposition to the Rebel or whatever on the other side.
