Yeah btimbit is right, thats just terminology or the payroll person only understands 'looking at the cheque.'

Almost every online banking service will provide a 'Void Cheque' service to have the Direct Deposit information.

Because, lets be honest, what kid has cheques? I have cheques, but I'm a business and even then I rarely use them.

Anyone with kids in sports. We were forever writing deposit cheques that would never get cashed but you had to do it for all kinds of crap that went along with the season. I don't know when the last time I actually wrote a cheque that was cashed was but we wrote dozens over the years that never were. Huge waste of money.
