Yeah, at first I thought when he said "I've been riding the red for about an hour" he meant the vehicle was over heating. At that point it makes sense to pull over, and maybe mention that you are getting low on gas as well. You could still stop for the night.

But to wait until you are almost empty; when you have the only vehicle that everybody could possibly squeeze into if they had to- makes no sense.

Just sit back and enjoy the show, I don't know the explanation for why these walkers aren't attacking this mysterious woman, I've long forgotten how they explained it in the books, maybe she read to them and they've fallen in love for her haha.

This is too thought out for a Zombie show but I think it's better to forget other Zombie shows and movies, and just let this Zombie world come together.
The zombies in this show though do not seem to be intelligent. They don't open doors/gates, they just smash their faces and flail their arms until it breaks. They were also willing to walk thru a flaming barn for an opportunity at rick/carl. Why would they give up on Michonne once they lose their arms? In season 1 that zombie was crawling thru the park trying to get at rick, and it never had any legs.

I hope they explain it next season.

I could see it, I would imagine he had a bit more on his mind at the time. It's not like it's a day trip to the mountains where that and sensible shoes are your biggest concern.

Suppose they could've written better though...instead of "I've been driving in the red for an hour" which implies he knew it was getting bad...it could have been "Sweet baby jesus we're almost outta GAS! God dammit Lori THAT'S TWO!!"

It's an old beat up suburban. If they were in a Ford, the whole thing writes itself.

"Gee, this early 90s ford we're driving just broke down unexpectedly."

"I drove until the fumes dried up." is stupid, considering the implication is they've been driving for several hours through the night. Dumb writing. If I'm in his group and Rick gives me the big leadership speech, I laugh it off and remind him he's the reason everyone is now stranded.

Christ, "The fuel gauge must be broken."

Blurgh.

I'm sure glad that I can just sit back and enjoy the show, instead of worrying about all the little details.

No slight to those complaining, I understand where you are coming from. I guess I've just been lucky I've been able to turn off my brain for a bit while watching. Now, stop pointing out all these little flaws, before you turn me!

Last night's episode was amazing. So many great scenes, so much carnage. I'm surprised Carol, Hershel, Beth all made it out. And I agree that if Andrea becomes more badass, she'd be a lot more likeable. You know, like Rick.

Looks now like he's the new Dale; confident in the leadership abilities of Rick, able to read people well, offers sage advice.

The writers said he was supposed to die, but they couldn't quite fit it in and then they were happy with the results. They said him looking at his burning barn, was well worth it to keep him alive.

Only thing bugging me.
Maybe she keeps them well fed, so they are content. Maybe she feeds them plump little children, like Karl. How do they eat plump little children like Karl without lower jaws? I don't know, maybe she has a blender.

Nailed it. I'm like you... hell I even watch Transformers. I have a friend who's just snobby to a comical level. He doesn't want to see The Avengers because Thor is a God and should be able to destroy everything, he hasn't watched The Walking Dead past the second episode because Rick should have just driven the tank etc. Talking to him about movies or tv shows is almost impossible.

I don't know how he knew, but I was eating cupcakes as I wrote that response.

I really don't think there's anything to explain and you're thinking/nit picking too much. It was a dramatic shot, it was a cool shot to showcase a mysterious character. If the walkers with no arms are attacking the hooded character, the shot doesn't look as cool. Nothing more.

Sometimes you just need to enjoy the show for what it is. A fun, cool ride. Nit picking about a 3 second camera shot is a little silly IMO. Let it go.

If they explain why in that moment the walkers weren't attacking her, I won't care. If they don't explain it, I really won't care.

That's the worst... but honestly I don't think it's about shutting off your brain, The Walking Dead certainly isn't Transformers but it probably isn't The Godfather either. Shutting off your brain is different then choosing not to be a nit picking brat about things.

Hell, watch the scene where Michonne saves Andrea again, when it cuts to her swinging her sword away she is way too far away from Andrea for the sword to actually reach her.. but it was a very cool dramatic cut scene so it works. Why let something like that ruin an episode for you though. Why obese over it....

Nit picking is annoying.

I actually think The Fonz brings up an interesting point of debate to be honest, I found that more interesting then Flash's thing about the gas.

Wondering and speculating why Michonne's Walkers weren't attacking her is an interesting discussion IMO.

Watched Dawn of the Dead last night. Really enjoyed the movie but wasn't too excited by the end. I usually like a bit of a wrap up, but that's just me.

Any other great zombie or zombie type recomendations?
