The Royals with what already feels like an unsurmountable lead at 2-0. This is turning into a disastrous series for the Jays.

The funny thing is this result hasn’t been from an injury, so how do you go from being elite to junk overnight? I can’t explain it. Certainly he wasn’t a physical specimen but even in lieu of that to lose your mechanics and your ability to throw is just…odd. I’m of the conclusion that he did injure himself but it hasn’t come out. Then you add in the mental part of getting roasted for the first time in his life and it’s probably coming down hard on him. I didn’t think it could get worse this season but it has. But I can’t see the club keeping him at this point and I do think someone takes a flyer on him next year. It’s totally puzzling what’s happened to him as to be affected this badly from not being injured is from left field.

3 straight base runners and the Jays get the bare minimum out of it. Atleast they tried to steal a run but KC didn't bite. Kirk is back to being bloody useless after his 2 game hot streak last week.

As I've been stating for the past year, please don't give Vlad $1. This guy is a bum.

An official game now. They'll call this shortly and that'll be that.

Sure, but he was saying it feels like a good day at the plate is 5 runs, not that it's normal. So our wins will only come on good days at the plate, but those good days are only going to be when depth/weak bats are on heaters.

As soon as those end, aka this week, we're back to losing more than winning. It's a beautiful pitching staff and defense we've built up, but it feels like we're pissing it away by sitting around expecting Vladdy to suddenly turn it around after nearly three years of this.

Jesus christ. They have to call this a game and cancel it. It's a massive downpour. It's not about winning or losing this single game, it's about safety.

There's freaking thunder & lightning popping up too FFS.

Yeah, this field is not playable. Not a good idea to play with lightning anyway

Ben Nicholson Smith reporting that the game is over. They're not going to try and play.

What a disaster of a series.

Oh wow, I wasn't up on mlb rules for postponing games. So apparently we lost that one.

Afternoon start allowed that amount of time before postponement.

With the Dodgers going to Toronto this weekend, does Ohtani or the Jays get booed louder if they're shut down again offensively?
