I’m sitting the the waiting room of the emergency vet waiting to find out if my dog has a tumour on her heart.
Her name is Daisy, and she’s just the sweetest, most loving little golden retriever you’ve ever met.
Please be okay, my love.

I don’t think proper grammar is required to figure out the answer to that one.

How is the lead singer still kicked out of Barenaked Ladies? Who cares if a 50 y/o rockstar did coke 10 years ago? Who would complain if they started writing and performing again?

I would. For some reason his voice sets me off into a rage. No clue why?

Maybe because he sings like he has a bubble in his throat? I always thought they could have been better if he just did a strong, "AHEM" before he started singing.

Any gardeners in here? We do a tiny garden in our back yard every summer. We got tired of spending a bunch of money on teenage tomato plants from Costco, so we started seedlings this year.
However , now I have no idea what to do with 2 of them. They are 2 feet tall and growing like crazy. It's going to be like Jumanji in here before we can plant them outside.
Can we prune them down? I read something somewhere that it could be that they're not getting enough sun inside, so they are growing up to try and "reach the sun" rather than sit and stock up.
Anyhow, advise would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the pruning. We always put small fans blowing on them so the stalks get thick and strong. I think that slows vertical growth. We also have pretty good lights.

I for one would...but it has nothing to do with coke.

I have to say, I find some of these “Common Sense” ratings on content on appletv very interesting:
“joyless miniseries dwells on drug use and child abuse”
“ribald, drunken animated comedy is too edgy for most teens”
“long, convoluted, sci-fi epic has some cult appeal”

I made that same mistake last year, started them way too early hoping to get a head start. The good news is we did actually start getting tomatoes inside in April- which was a welcome treat. However the planets ended up being about 6 feet tall by May long, and never took outside as well as I would have liked. Mine were cherry tomatoes, and they ended being really small.
This year I started them around the end of March.

That's called getting leggy. Basically it happens as they "reach" for the sun - once they've grown you can't do much to fix it. The way to prevent it from happening is get them more light. In Calgary in the spring you probably need artificial light. The other thing that will help is a fan as mentioned.
The one thing you can do that helps a bit is bury them deeper when you transplant them. Bury the first set of leaves in the dirt, and they'll grow out into additional roots, that makes it more sturdy and a bit shorter. But if they don't have enough light they'll keep doing it.
If you already have artificial light on them you can put the lights closer to the plants. LEDs can go like a couple of inches away, while other types need to be a bit further away so the plants don't get heat damaged.
Edited to add: I've never tried this but you could:

Final edit: my kid sells tomato plants every spring for like $3-4 (advertised on CP!) And you can get them around that price on kijiji as well.

maybe they just hate the guy.
We've seen more than a few times where a member hates the rest of the band and unless you really want the money, why do it?
Why be miserable touring if you don't like the people you're playing with?

I was thinking of going to Blue Star Diner tor breakfast on the weekend so searched it’s hours on Google and was trying to look at the menus that people took photos of. All of the photos look like they were taken with a potato. I don’t get it. These were are all taken by different people. How could none of them take a clear picture? And if they’re trash photos, why post them?

The reviews would be, “1-star, excellent food and service, but extremely hostile menu design, could not instagram”.

I just overheard someone say "pruning" in a non-gardening manner. I haven't heard it used this way in a long time.
"Hey, you pruning?"
DoubleF: *Oh must be a gardening referen...*
"I should eh? I haven't #### in a couple days!"
