The Caps have $2m in CAP space. They might throw Beagle in to give themselves more of a CAP cushion, but he would certainly not be the only piece of the deal. Maybe it's a 2nd and Beagle.

I read the Beagle speculation on another site as well. He isn't much of a cap dump though (900k). I know he is a Calgarian, but I can't see why we would have much interest (unless it boosts the pick or prospect coming back).
Washington is an interesting possibility. Up against the cap, but without any obvious contract dumps.

Yes, can't see how Beagle would be the only piece either.
2nd and Beagle or Carrick and Beagle are both realistic IMO (admittedly I don't know a lot about Carrick, but he has decent numbers and is a RH D prospect).

There was talk before that Washington wants to shed Laich's contract.
He struggled with injuries in the past few seasons with his production dropping off severely. He seems to have recovered this year, but has fallen down the depth chart to a 3rd line role.
Flames have the cap room and the salary comes off the books in two years, perfect timing. Caps package up Laich with a pick/prospect for Glencross, Flames get higher value for taking on the salary than Glencross would get solo, they also get a chance at a reclamation Western Canada boy coming home.
This is the kind of guy I want on my team:

I for one value Sureloss' posts, I don't know where he got his rumours from "Cap fans" from, but I'd rather hear/read about it than not.
Myself, I heard about it on the radio.
Again, If you don't like rumours don't bother bashing people who contribute a little fun to a thread, regardless of where they hear/read it. It generates discussion, which is what this board is for.
