Good on Jose....and Casey Janssen doesn't mince words.

Is it AA and his worry about pulling the trigger now...or been told that it has to pass through 3 layers above him?
Or is it as simple as just Rogers, once of the worst, if not the worst run and managed large company in Canada, not opening the purse strings when push came to shove? (see "Next Issue" commercials every inning break as Rogers trying to push magazines down our throats)
A combo of both, and the fact that the players all along assumed the words in training camp would hold true 4 months later...start alienating players and that word gets around the league.
They didn't have to add a Price or Lester...but some depth on the mound and upgrade on infield
Almost as if AA is polishing up the "injuries killed us" excuse if this season turns into a disaster without even a wild card spot (and they should be aiming for as easy a division title shot, given the way the AL East is weak this year) if Lind and EE and Lawrie don't come back and return to early season form.
Disappointing to say the least, and the vitriol already being spewed by players mere hours after, shocked at the fact that they were firmly believing more help was on the way to give the team an emotional boost (at very least- see the Janssen link answering this question), goes to show that this could be a big issue attracting FA's and keeping guys like Melky.
There's still the August trades, but AA didn't or couldn't do anything in the offseason, and have nibbled around the edges all season as big injuries have surfaced, and had all sorts of chance to spend money this past couple weeks, and had nothing to show for it except Valencia, so why would August change?
4 games against the 20 games back Astros...winning less then 3 and its a big setback and have to worry about the team pysche.
