I think that's Guy Gaudreau, could be wrong though. No idea what he's doing... maybe there's a TV.

Apparently he's only a few courses away from his degree. He obviously wasn't dilly-dallying during his college days, and was actually getting work done.

I say good for Johnny. And it speaks volumes about his character that he promised his mum he'd finish, and even after a Calder-worthy rookie year, he's keeping his promise to her.

What a lad.

EA rankings, Johnny Hockey edition.

Sharp
Steen
Ladd
Marleau
Landeskog
Pacioretty
Parise
Hall
Benn
Ovechkin

Hard to argue with any of these, especially with Johnny heading into his sophomore season. However I think he has a higher ceiling than Ladd and Steen, but he's not there yet. Also there is no way I would pick Hall above any of those players besides Ladd, Steen and Sharp.

If they are willing to give Steen a top 10 this year, we should probably expect Johnny to make the list for NHL 17 should he better his performance this year.

I don't understand what I'm looking at it and how it relates to Johnny Gaudreau. Are these the players with the same player ratings as Johnny?

Pretty sure these are guys that were given higher ratings than Johnny on LW.

By all accounts Gaudreau hit 8 of 10 club performance bonuses last season with each worth $185k.

Ice time - Needed top 6 forward minutes. (min 42 gp)
Goals - 20 or more
Assists - 35 or more
Points - 60 or more
PPG - 0.73 (min 42 gp)
Plus-Minus - Among top three forwards on club (min 42 gp)
Blocked Shots
All-Rookie Team
All-Star Game - Selected to play or plays
All-Star Game MVP

$1.48m + $100k from league for rookie votes = a nice year

He could only collect a maximum of 4 of those bonuses for a total of $850,000 ($212,500 each), plus the $100,000 from the league for finishing third in the Calder vote.

Salary - $925,000
Bonus - $850,000
Calder - $100,000
Total =$1,875,000

not bad, he doubled his money but GeneralFanager is reporting he can make $925,000 in bonus money. Not sure if that includes his Calder bonus.

Yup, all higher rated LW than him. Johnny holds his own though, I believe his rating is an 86.

Players can earn "A" bonuses, which are for individual performance things like goals scored, ice time, and All-Star game appearances. There are many different categories, and a player can earn bonuses for any of the categories. Each category has a maximum bonus value of $212,500, and the maximum total a player can receive for "A" bonuses is $850,000 per season (so, four different categories at $212,500 each).

There are also "B" bonuses, which are for league-wide performance. This includes all of the year-end league awards, plus the year-end All Star teams, as well as finishing top-10 in the different league scoring categories. Each of these categories have specific payouts from the league and don't count against the team's cap.

A player can also receive additional bonuses from their team for the "B" category bonuses. The maximum a player can receive for "B" bonuses from his team is $2 million total, and I don't believe there is any single award limit. So, if a player wins the Conn Smythe during his ELC, he could earn the full $2 million for just winning that one award (as Jonathan Toews did in 2010). The Individual "B" bonuses that a player can receive from his team are only for the major league awards (Hart, Norris, Selke, Vezina, Jennings, Richard, and Smythe), minor awards like the Calder and Byng aren't eligible for additional "B" bonuses from the league.

I'm not sure how Gaudreau's bonuses were broken down to get to the $925,000 number for last season. Presumably, it was the full $850,000 for "A" bonuses (which he would have easily maxed out), and the other $75,000 for some "B" bonuses. Because the Calder and All-Rookie team aren't eligible for "B" bonuses, he wouldn't have received any of the "B" bonus, whatever they were.
