I think that STARS is still located at the airport as well. I know that about ten years ago we went to their hangar for a tour and it was over beside the Executive Flight Center.

TD Bank won't return my calls. Impossible to get a hold of a human. Trying to get some tax slips for dad estate. My "advisor" won't return calls. Finally was able to leave a message that will probably never be heard. Should I have used the C word? Probably not. I hate that company's are absolutely preventing talking to a human. Download our APP.

We need an APP that lets you punch the face of the executive who suggested developing an APP. I would pay $10k to be able punch the face of APP guy.

Aren’t you downtown? Go and talk to them in person. I had to do that with BMO. It sucks, but infinitely easier than trying to do anything by phone.

It's because they regard you as living in the wastelands. They only offer reasonable service to residence of the Dominion of Toronto. Don't think you will have better service at BMO or Soctiabank, living out here. Me? I'm Royalty. Good so far.

I'm not saying this will solve it, but it might get some action

I didn't realize just how bad the banks have got since I started dealing with my aunt's estate. Thankfully she only dealt with two banks but the service at both banks has been pretty poor. When you go visit in person they make you feel like you are being taken care of but the minute you leave it's like they don't want to deal with you again as trying to get answers or even responses via email and phone is futile.

I'm reluctant to go see someone in person because I might say something I will regret when I get the inevitable moron who has no idea what they are doing.

I needed some very old statements for a long-since-closed business account a few weeks ago and the teller at the main TD branch DT was very helpful and able to get what I needed...

I'd say it's worth a shot, and should probably be your first point of contact, since they'll grab a manager right away if there's anything they're unsure of, etc... You don't get that by email or telephone.

I just like to pre-complain and catastrophize.

It's bad enough my dentist makes me come back two times to do a filling on each side of the mouth in the latest cash grab policy (this was never a thing before he moved to a new clinic). I was there on Thursday, and have received two emails, two texts, and two phone calls to confirm the appointment - since Thursday!

That's the kind of thing that would lose my business.

Not sure where the job complaints thread went (more like I could not get the search function to work on my mobile)…

Anyone else hear of layoffs at IPL? Contact there says some minor restructuring happening.

I have said in the past that I strongly prefer to only come once for something similar. Ultimately they're a business, and if they think you'll go elsewhere over it they'll almost certainly change.

Other than the inconvenience of having to go twice is the cost actually more than it would have been in a single appointment? My dentist has always been fee per procedure and whether those procedures are done in one appointment or multiple it doesn't change the overall cost.

Actually someone answered from the branch. Pretty sure someone is in trouble. I feel terrible. God I'm stupid.

You feel bad because somebody else wasn't doing their job?

Also annoying from banks- you can only transfer max $2k/d at RBC. What a ####ty bank. Then I go in to get a cheque book for my chequing account and they tell me they’re apparently phasing cheques out. Apparently the bank draft can work, oh okay cool, oh yeah but after 5 of them you have to pay $10 for each one.

Such a scam. Worst bank ever, I really gotta source a new one but I’m sure I’ll get raped moving to the new one and let’s be honest, will the new one be any better? Doubtful. Canadians get ripped off so bad. And yeah the service is f- ultra fail.
