Iggy asked for clarification on why I 'took issue' with a post of his, which even that seems generous considering my reply to it was some silly throwaway 'Narrator' quip, and I didn't even bother to reply to his response -- it was smart-assery that wasn't worth the second thought. Hell, I had to go back a couple pages to find and read it again, because I had no idea what he was referring to in the post that started... well... --gestures broadly-- all this.
The odd thing is he seems convinced I'm pissed off at him. I'm not. For clarity, I should've put "Piss off, Iggy" in italics. It was meant as dismissal, not anger, because that melodramatic "Sincerely…" sign-off frankly deserved nothing more.
But I've no interest in wrestling a drunk off a soapbox, shining a light on the slurring is quite enough, and at this point, I honestly cannot tell if he's defending a point or embalming it.
Also, credit where credit is due...

... I choke-laughed on my water when I first read this; beautifully executed.

Tell me you’re running out of excuses for putting words in my mouth without telling me that you’re running out of excuses. Haha
The “I should have put it in italics” this late into the game was the chef’s kiss. For no other reason than you’re claiming to have only said it in response to what I assumed anyone would have seen as an obviously sarcastic “sincere” statement. Yet you also doubled down on your condescension in that post by trying to “out victim” me. I’m willing to assume you meant to put that in italics too though if it means we can let bygones be bygones.
Torque I’ve got no problem with someone disagreeing with what I post or criticizing my views, so long as it’s based on what I actually post. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect that if you can’t criticize my posts without resorting to making things up that you should expect to be called out on it.
I can appreciate that you may have misinterpreted what I initially wrote and may have taken it as an attack on either yourself or others but I can assure you that was not how it was intended to come across at all.
For the record I consider my initial response about how us agreeing on anything would make us both wrong by default to be top shelf smart-assery and no one believes that you didn’t respond to it because it was smart-assert because most of my posts that you did respond to, while not top shelf, still contained an large element of smart-assery.
So in the advance of the Emmys I got a couple of Andor content recommendations from youtube, then I re-watched season 1 over the weekend, and now my whole first row of youtube is Andor. Which personally is great for me.
There is 1 in particular that is worthy of sharing here. Tony Gilroy the creator of the best commentary in at least a decade on how the banal impacts of fascism turn into real pain for normal people. Back half of the video his him talking about how it relates to the real world.

Trump post from 1145 pm last night
Today, I have the Great Honor of bringing a $15 Billion Dollar Defamation and Libel Lawsuit against The New York Times, one of the worst and most degenerate newspapers in the History of our Country, becoming a virtual “mouthpiece” for the Radical Left Democrat Party. I view it as the single largest illegal Campaign contribution, EVER. Their Endorsement of Kamala Harris was actually put dead center on the front page of The New York Times, something heretofore UNHEARD OF! The “Times” has engaged in a decades long method of lying about your Favorite President (ME!), my family, business, the America First Movement, MAGA, and our Nation as a whole. I am PROUD to hold this once respected “rag” responsible, as we are doing with the Fake News Networks such as our successful litigation against George Slopadopoulos/ABC/Disney, and 60 Minutes/CBS/Paramount, who knew that they were falsely “smearing” me through a highly sophisticated system of document and visual alteration, which was, in effect, a malicious form of defamation, and thus, settled for record amounts. They practiced this longterm INTENT and pattern of abuse, which is both unacceptable and illegal. The New York Times has been allowed to freely lie, smear, and defame me for far too long, and that stops, NOW! The suit is being brought in the Great State of Florida. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
And here is the opening paragraph of the lawsuit in case anyone cares to read it
NATURE OF THE ACTION
On November 5, 2024, President Trump won the 2024 Presidential
Election over Vice President Kamala Harris in historic fashion, emerging victorious in both the Electoral College and the popular vote, and securing a resounding mandate from the American people. President Trump trounced Harris with 312 electoral votes and a sweep of all seven "battleground" states. This victory was remarkable for many historic reasons, including because President Trump had to overcome persistent election interference from the legacy media, led most notoriously by the New York Times.

There is A LOT of ground laying happening in front of our eyes about the "radical left violence" and "biased media" to justify a lot of curtailment of freedom and other authoritarian moves.
Vance's speech was all this - on top of all the Trump's rhetoric.
Day by day, they move the Overton window what's acceptable. Basic authoritarian playbook.
This is why this whole situation sucks, and frankly why the posters coming into this thread claiming "you people make me sick, he was a father!" were so embarrassing.
Actively succumbing to a fascist windbag and using the very tropes MAGA wants them to use to push the US in to fascist dictatorship.
First, it was clearly a trans left-wing democrat nutjob that did it. No? Well it doesn't matter, find another reason to enact our agenda.

Imagine laying eyes on all the piles of evidence of children being trafficked and raped then trying to cover it up for your master. What an absolute pos human.

Thinking on it, Patel certainly doesnt do himself a favor here... if Epstein only trafficked to himself (the biggest LOL that) then the files being released can only implicate a dead man...then there can be no harm in releasing everything. Right?

I love Kash Patel, I know nothing about him at all but I love the fact that he is essentially the Human Embodiment of Perpetual Bewilderment.
Every single photo of Kash Patel is like a humanized version of that Dog Meme of "I have no idea what I'm doing."
But still...he shows up, takes questions, has no idea what he's talking about, dammit all! He shows up! He has no idea where he is or what he's doing there but goddammit it all there he is!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
And because Kash and Bondi are helping Trump to bury the Epstein stuff, they are virtually unfireable, so we'll get many years of their incompetence to come.
