I find it incredible the massive amounts of debt that these clubs have. Some have relatively new stadiums which I assume makes up for some ... but some of these clubs are out of control.

Denilson joined Arsenal in the summer of 2006 from Sao Paulo and has grown tired of the club's lack of success. The Gunners have not won a trophy since the FA Cup in 2005.
"This has been the worst season of my life, and I am so upset," the 23-year-old said in The Sun.
"I am a winner and I came here to win trophies but I've been here for five years and won nothing. Until Arsenal stop throwing away silly points in stupid games nothing will change.
"I've simply been to see Arsene Wenger and told him how I felt and he's agreed to let me go.
"A footballer's career is over very quickly so it is time for me to move on. I made up my mind eight months ago. I was fed up of coming home and feeling down.
"I know some people think I'm crazy. I need a fresh challenge and although I know I'm taking a big gamble I am ready to take that risk.
"I can't see myself returning in a Chelsea shirt, or Liverpool or Manchester City - and definitely not Tottenham. I think my future will be in Spain or Italy."
|
I'm all for anyone taking a shot at Arsenals' continued failure to get a trophy, but Denilson isn't a good player at all
he hasn't ever passed the ball forward in his life

I was very surprised that Liverpool's wages were that high.

it was for 2010 so Torres would be counted, but who besides Gerrard, Kuyt, Reina, and Carra is deserving of a high wage?
thats why it shocked me
but nowhere on the same level as Villa, how on earth are they higher than 13m quid higher than Spurs. That is just bad management.

Well, it isn't anything that shouldn't be said about the club.
I'd like to see the other players get a bit more pissed off, myself. I grew tired of seeing them s##t down their leg, apologize to the fans via Twitter, then proceed to do the same thing a week later.

Really disappointing this Ryan Giggs business is. He genuinely seemed to be one of the very few remaining "decent" footballers left. Decent is taken to mean - decent human being and not a John Terry/Peter Crouch/Wayne Rooney type dirtbag.
This is the chick - Imogen Thomas.

For that he gets a free pass - that isn't exactly Arnie's stray piece is it?

Meh, he's a professional athlete and a man, I'm shocked when guys in that position don't have women on the side.

silly season seems to all ready started
some things the papers are saying in no particular order
Madrid are going to sell Ronaldo after a bust up with the special one
Scott Parker is going to Liverpool, no Arsenal!, no Spurs!
Eden Hazard is going to Arsenal, no Spurs!, no Liverpool!
Luka Modric wants to go to Man United, or not
Roman Abramovich wants Harry Redknapp to take over Chelsea, lots of ITK's on Spurs forums were saying this last week before it was even in the papers, could be a situation of where there is smoke there is fire
Arsenal are in for every CB under the sun
United are in for every CB under the sun, and Sneijder
Man City are going to sign everybody
etc.
should be one of the busiest summer transfer windows in a while, every team in the top 6 is likely to spend big this summer. And with no major tournament (outside of the u21) there will be tons of rumors/stories from now until the end of august

I dont get the Ronaldo thing, its got to be some ego powerplay BS.
Seriously, Mourinho plays a very defensive style, but Ronaldo is going to set a La Liga scoring record anyways! Realistically there should be room for compromise there, Jose can ease up on the defence a little when you know that you've effectively got goals in the bank.
And how stifling and offensively oppressing can Jose's style really be if Ronaldo is still scoring all those goals? Look at Barcelona, they're a rugby team! They dont believe in the forward pass! And Messi still has a ton of goals.

ya that story is ridiculous, I don't think there was any bust up that would cause the two to not be able to work together first of all
but secondly, in terms of that club right now. Ronaldo>Mourinho
Jose would be gone before Cristiano

The quotes from the Denilson article are selective and consequently very misleading. I can't stand that the guy was in our squad, let alone the amount of games he got, but if you read that article in full, he said nothing wrong and was actually very frank and complimentary.
Anyway, in other news, today is the last match of the season, the boys need a win or a draw and hope respectively that City draw or lose and here are words of support from our Captain:
"At the Formula 1 in Montmelo with my mate Benet. Moooocccc!!! Ohhhh!!!!"
Way to Cesc. Please don't come back

Wolves deserve to go down after that first half... 0-3 down and they probably should have been down more.

And the goal differential that sent them down.
And no Europa league for Liverpool. Good luck Spurs.
