Mentioned this in the upcoming concerts thread, but the new Mother Mother album "The Sticks" released today. Pretty solid. Playing at the jube on Dec. 8th too.

Hipster Alert: While at the post office, I noticed Luke's in Bridgeland now sells vinyl. I figured some of you would enjoy riding your fixie over there to buy some

I'm absolutely loving this album already. I like Eureka, but not nearly as much as their other albums. This new album seems more on par with their other stuff for me. I have seen Mother Mother live a few times and the Jube will be a fantastic venue for them. I can't wait.

Tegan and Sara have a new album coming out and the first single was released today:

Closer

http://teganandsara.com/

I like it, they have definitely changed over the course of time. Come a long way from their folk roots, but thats part of being a successful artist is being able to adapt.

Also to add a few side notes:

David Guetta collaborated again with T and S on a new song called Every Chance We Get We Run (also featuring Alesso) and is featured on his new album Nothing But The Beat 2.0.

So this new Mumford & Sons album, theres this part that starts off real quiet with just the singer and a guitar...but then he yells and the band comes in and they start playing REALLY FAST and REALLY LOUDLY. Great stuff.

Real talk though, the album is great. This is going to be a massive year for them.

Great album but not as memorable as Sigh no More in my opinion. Still, some really great tunes. Ghosts that we Knew is my favourite I think.

Really slow album in my opinion (Mumford) and I have ruled out buying it. It is the same thing they put out years ago and since then have been passed in their sound by Noah and the Whale and Of Monsters and Men most notably. I like lots of their lyrics but the sound is down and out and too twangy over and over and over. Last album sold like hot cakes so no expectation that Babel will be any different. Its a Coldplay.

I saw Mumford on SNL and wasn't that impressed. I like the Avett Brothers new album more, I mention it because I think they have similar styles. New Tragically Hip album has leaked as well, some good songs, also some duds. I long for the Day for Night days

Haha, a new Aerosmith album? Gross.

Looks like it's going to be a great fall for hip-hop. I've been really looking forward to the new Big Boi album, and hopefully the A$AP Rocky, Lupe, and Kendirck Lamar albums are all good.

I agree. Lupe Fiasco's new album is pretty sweet.

My son picked it up this morning. I think it is fantastic. Broken Crown is my favorite at the momet.
