Let's be honest, Kings is a better, way better coached team than Oilers.

LA has been more disciplined, defended better, and had the better goaltending.
CHED: Oilers are doing everything right. This is the refs fault!
Even in losing, they think their team ####s gold.

With a worse team and no Doughty they almost won in 7 last year. They are better.
Oilers have their lottery ticket, that is about the only reason they have a chance.

I honestly can't imagine any of the people who cover the Flames going all out conspiracy cry baby like the Oilers guys do. They have no dignity at all.

I'll give you that. I wouldn't have hated it if Arvisson was called for diving. That was a Canucks diving team level performance.
It was a tripping call though.

I can’t stand when any team or their fans blame refs for losing a game. I don’t think the Flames lose games any more than other clubs as a result; and neither do the Oilers. Stop the BS excuses. Every team at some point gets penalties called against them.
Oilers aren’t losing due to refereeing.

The Oilers and their fans are just so used to getting a free ride. Now that they are getting called on things they should, they just don't understand.

The way McDavid went into the ref’s bubble by the penalty box after that goal was so entitled. The rule has always been that players stay outside that bubble while the refs are in there… and he skates right in like he’s someone special and sticks his head between all the refs and barks orders. Can’t believe the refs just gingerly backed him away like that. The refs need to make an example of him and boot him right out of the game with authority at that exact moment. And if he keeps barking at them, resisting leaving the ice immediately, you turn it into abuse of an official call and have it reviewed for a suspension. Put him in his place. I know the game ended up being over anyways but I imagine refs are sick of his entitled attitude.

I feel like they're holding back too.
I think it's all strategic though. They don't want to play end to end hockey.
They're happy to let Edmonton look threatening, while taking away the middle of the ice. They know their goalie can hold the fort. Then patiently wait to explode up the ice when the dufuses pinch.

It was a tripping call but the staying down on the ice and the theatrics afterwards were a bit much.

They got the call right, it was a trip not a major.
And
I’ll agree Arvidsson is the biggest diver in the series, for the kings, 14th biggest diver in the series overall

I'm quite surprise Mean Mr. Mustard knows what a dive is, I mean, being a Canucks fan for so long and have watched his team dived all the way to the SC final. He should be saying, nah that's not a dive, that's a legit penalty.

Not going to lie, seen a better replay and that 100% hit the stick. The Flames have been screwed by so many of these types of calls that it's nice to see it happen for a favorable outcome.

Oilers want to drag teams in to play pond hockey. Flames for whatever reason took the bait last year and went away from what worked vs Dallas. No Tanev hurt too, but this is how you beat the Oilers. Limit them 5 on 5 and do not give up odd man rushes.

yeah for sure people here complained, I'm sure I did. but they call those plays- sporadically albeit but they call them- it's on the player not to do it-Draisaitl didn't have to do it, but he wanted to and with that comes risk

Haha. McDavid just sat there doing nothing to try to get up. He finally found a way to get ice time while taking a nap.
