Nothing is going to cost him support. Look at the absolute idiot he's running against. Doesn't mean we can't mock an obviously dumb statement.
The only thing I would say is that the strategy of keeping him out of sight and letting Trump hang himself is a smart one. No need to diverge from it.

But there's a large disconnect with a man honestly inquiring the validity of injecting disinfectants into the bloodstream and one calling out a racist for being a racist despite historical context, regardless of political gain and affiliation.
