I'm pretty sure I've never heard of Eli being accused of being a ######bag, and I've been watching him since high school.

Umm what? You are likely the only person to ever play that card.

You're a chump. How long did it take you to pull the Pats helmet out of your avatar after the loss?

Maybe not generally, but with respect to San Diego, how was he not?

If you knew that the Edmonton Oilers had the 1st pick and were going to select you, but they had a history of terrible personnel decisions, as well as the philosophy that saving money is better than winning titles, would you go there if you had a choice?
All that Eli did was exercise his power as a valued commodity to influence where he plied his trade. It happens every day in every other occupation, why not football?

Not that but if there coach was also known as a QB Killer too. Even with all of this, if people want to judge him on ONE move, I think he's proven time after time he does not have an ego or is too hard to get along with. His teamates speak extremely high of the guy, he's coming off his best season ever and he just won another SB MVP. Playing in one of the toughest markets in sports, under that type of microscope, he's hanlded himself great.

I don't follow NFL very much, but is it just a rivalry thing, or is there a reason for the hate for Eli Manning?

Wow, some sour grapes here. The Patriots effed up on some key plays and it cost them. They were lucky to still be in the game in the first half when the Giants controlled the ball. They looked to be steamrolling after their first possesion in the 3rd quarter. And then it just stopped. No referee lost this game. There was the missed catch by Welker. And poorly timed long bomb to Gronkowski that was picked off. 12 men on the field negating a fumble recovery. Lots of little things.
This is not a team that should have been in the Superbowl. Happy they got there, happy they completed. And yeah, I'm bummed that they lost a game that was well within their grasp. But the sun came up today.

had a lot more to do with Archie than Eli too, didn't like the management in SD and didn't want his son to go there

I am not a fan of Brady but I think he is getting some unfair blame from the media. He played well, his receivers dropped some passes. Eli played slightly better and won the game.
The difference in the Superbowl is very simple. You can have as good of an offense as you want, but defense wins championships

I'm not a fan of either team but I will never pass the opportunity to deep fry some wings, get out the chips and dip and cook up a pot of chilli.
the Giants put themselves in a really bad spot in that game. They dominated the first half of last nights game and left a ton of points on the board and you can't do that against the Pats, I honestly thought that the Pats were going to win after surviving the first half like they did.
You have to give Manning credit, he played a very good game, some of his throws were next to impossible throws but he had great support around him.
The Pats had too many dropped passes last night, the Welker one was just bizarre.
But I do think that the better team won.
Was it a great memorable Superbowl? Except for MIA's middle finger and Madonna's a$$, not really it was a good solid competitive game with average execution.
I guess I expected more from the Pats though.

The Giants had 3 big breaks... in the first half the fumble that was called back because the Pats had too many men, the Welker drop and the Bradshaw fumble at his own 15 that the Pats couldn't jump on.
The Giants fumbled 3 or 4 times last night and lost none of them.
But that catch by Manningham was just awesome. Not only too get both feet down but to hold on to the ball with one arm not letting it hit the ground. All this after Collingworth ripped him for not know how to run routes.

He broke Joe Montana's record for consecutive passes in a Superbowl game. Not his greatest game, but he is not the only reason they lost.
