#OccupyCalgary protesters defensive about tent fire. "Do you cover garage fires?" Uh, when 2 are injured, yeah we do.

"Hey everyone! Look at us! We demand to be heard!... Hey! Stop looking at that burnt tent! We have a right to some privacy!"

He's not on CP (that I know of) but @lonnietaylor has by far been the most balanced live coverage of the entire protest since the initial march on Oct 15th.

He reports things very neutrally and just reports it unvarnished. If a protester is being disruptive/unreasonable he'll say so. If Cory B is grand standing or name calling, he'll say that too.

lol yes that would go down like that Nenshi would turtle and sob, and Urqhart would demand a report on why he turtled, for how long did the turtling commence.

As for the Occupy Squatters I am amazed that a group of 30 misfits have pushed Nenshi to an impasse. The reason I target Nenshi is that the rest of city hall wanted this dealt with swiftly and long ago. He has stale mated action against this tent turding motely crew right from the beginning and through out their act.

#OccupyCalgary protesters say city is responsible for tent fire as they did not provide electricity. No word on what caused it.

Let's review.
- The city recognizes that olympic plaza is not suitable for camping, thus we have bylaws against camping in the park. (warning #1)
- The city has posted signs letting the public know "you can't camp here, it's not a suitable space for camping "(warning #2)
- When the protesters set up a camp the city says "we have bylaws against camping there, it's not a suitable space for camping"(warning #3)
- The protesters continue camping
- The city post a notice that once again says "this is not a campground" (warning #4)
- The protesters continue camping
- The city issues tickets saying "you can't camp here, it's not a campground" (warning #5)
- A tent catches fire and injures two people

The city has maintained from the onset that Olympic Plaza is not a campground, they have told the people camping there that it is not a campground. The protesters choose to ignore these many, many warnings and continue to camp. Then when they got hurt "Hey! How come you didn't protect us!"
