Answer my question, do you think it's funny that Albertans will lose their jobs because of this political virtue signaling?

Don't forget the extra $400,000,000. It was $1.4 billion - that extra $400M alone enough to fund sufficient affordable housing projects in this province for twenty years.

This doesn’t accomplish that, though, and I think most people can clearly see that, so it’s a completely unforced error.

It’s actually pretty surprising hearing conservatives defend Smith for the same sort of things they absolutely roasted politicians like Notley and Trudeau for. I get being super partisan, sure, but even this is a bit absurd.

I think smith and Trudeau are pals at this point who talk on the phone every night to see how they can help each other out.

Reporter: Pierre, what do you think of Danielle Smith's moratorium on renewables projects?

Pierre: I support Danielle Smith

Election over.

Probably would have helped him out by not doing something so stupid and askew from the values of the voting power centres of Canada until a bit later on.

I couldn't be more correct.

That was another pretty bad decision. TC basically got gifted he miney as they weren’t even really looking for a partner. And the end result was somewhat predictable as the permit was originally denied under the Obama admin, Trump reversed that and Biden reversed it again.

It was still not a good day when it got cancelled as my opinion was the free market should decide this stuff and not politics even though I’m not convinced it was a pipeline that was actually needed all that much.

But this was, I thought at least based on how passionate many of the supporters have been about these kind of industry-impacting things, a pillar. Now because it’s the UCP ####ing around, it’s no big deal. Bizarre.

TC is doing just fine without Keystone. Kenney tried to give them a billion dollars and ended up shoving a dildo up the ass of taxpayers who saw that coming a mile away.

They are cheap AF on contractor rates though (unless you're working for one of the big four). Stingy muppets.

As far as I can tell the moratorium is purely to spite the renewable energy industry in this province, as retribution for all the perceived malfeasance by "the Left" against the oil and gas industry. That's all it is: a big ####-you to "pwn the libs". There is no rhyme or reason to it other than that.

It probably belongs in that other thread, but it really grinds my gears that "boogity boogity boo Trudeau" is the basic voting platform of a not insignificant base in Alberta.
