It’s actually pretty surprising hearing conservatives defend Smith for the same sort of things they absolutely roasted politicians like Notley and Trudeau for. I get being super partisan, sure, but even this is a bit absurd.

That was another pretty bad decision. TC basically got gifted he miney as they weren’t even really looking for a partner. And the end result was somewhat predictable as the permit was originally denied under the Obama admin, Trump reversed that and Biden reversed it again.

It was still not a good day when it got cancelled as my opinion was the free market should decide this stuff and not politics even though I’m not convinced it was a pipeline that was actually needed all that much.

As far as I can tell the moratorium is purely to spite the renewable energy industry in this province, as retribution for all the perceived malfeasance by "the Left" against the oil and gas industry. That's all it is: a big ####-you to "pwn the libs". There is no rhyme or reason to it other than that.
