I’m sure they have their reasons for not locking Trump up. I’d love to see him in jail for the duration of this trial without internet access but am nervous about it emboldening his flock.
Aside from morals, what is stopping Biden from offing his political foes if executive immunity from any criminal activity while on office is something Trump believes presidents should enjoy.
Maybe the youth don't see it as "their own party" since it's actively facilitating a genocide?
I don’t want this to turn into another Israel Palestine thread, and I can partially understand why they might feel this way. Doesn’t change my thesis, they are normalizing lawlessness and breaking into administration buildings - which helps make Jan 6 look normal. They live in a 2 party state, you can be as mad at the Democratic Party all you want, but if you help elect trump and the republicans due to this issue you are about to get a big fafo moment.

True enough, but 9 or 10 counts? He gets coddled so much by the justice system it's a joke.
The whole trial is just theater, Trump will never face any real repercussions. They need to make it look like he "might" see justice to keep the progressive voters engaged, but he's way too useful to the billionaires pulling the strings in the background to be put away

If you're an anti-war student being marched upon by hundreds of shock troops, what's the difference?

It’s not “theatre”… he’s going to real proceedings, held by real judges, for very real crimes, etc. not facing time due to having endless money to appeal plus having lots of powerful people in his pocket doesn’t make everything “theatre”
I ####ing hate this language. Not only is lazy as all ####, it’s dangerous. “Everything is fake nothing is real” is the goal here, and you’re gobbling it up.

Sure, just keep that flicker of hope that one day Trump will face real justice. I'm sure THIS time they've finally got him

We’re also told fairly regularly that the “extreme left” are a fringe group to be ignored. Meanwhile, “moderate liberals,” who presumably make up a much larger and self-proclaimed “level headed” faction of voters, see these protests and provide anecdotes about Nazism starting in Universities, and yet remain coldly silent while Trump loudly advocates for and explains his intention to pursue fascism if elected.
Who is actually enabling Trump, here?

Surely you aren’t serious with that question. First of all the foreign policy that is giving them issues, will be worse. The civil liberties they are relying upon at home to do what they are doing, will be worse. The response from law enforcement, likely worse.
Everything they are fighting for is worse off under Trump and not just by a small margin.

lol no kidding. Boots to heads at peaceful protests with the battle cry of “if you don’t for us the other authoritarian is worse” isn’t exactly winning hearts and minds.
Same thing I said before but when your choices are a fresh turd or a coiled steamy turd why are you shocked when people choose “I’d rather not eat turds at all actually”
A binary choice with two bad choices is no choice at all.
