Come on, Tony Gonzalez is still their best player.
But Thigpen has actually shown signs of being able to play recently. But as you say, he only has one win under his belt. Still, I expect the Chiefs to be able to move the ball on offence every week...I just don't expect the defence to stop anyone.
I would say that the Chiefs biggest needs right now is a Jared Allen replacement to help pressure the QB on defence and another line backer to complement Derrick Johnson. If they can mine three good pieces out of this draft like they did in the last draft, they might have something coming together. I sound like an Oilers fan though talking about this fabuous future while the team sucks...time to get dipped in sanitizing solution.

Yeah Tony is undoubtably the best player on the team. Where was my head. The Jared Allen trade still baffles me. Trade him and then give a truck load of money to an unproven rookie. I hate to say it, but Dorsey is looking like he is keeping the tradition alive of first round defensive busts for the Chiefs. I wish the Chiefs would have taken the Saints offer for the 5th pick during the draft.

And 6 NFL players suspended.
Pat Williams, Kevin Williams, Deuce McAllister, Will Smith, Charles Grant and Bryan Pittman.
The lone escapee of suspensions is Grady Jackson....interesting.
And there goes the Vikings slim chances of making the playoffs. Stupid, fat Williamses.
There was talk that these players will file an injunction with the NFL and so one, to delay any suspension. Will be interesting to see what happens.

You've gotta wonder with some of these guys. All the talent in the world, but mush for brains.

Fantasy Football playoffs begin for me this week. I finished 3rd in my 14 team league, but other than one week I seemed to squeak by on my wins. LT, first overall pick for me, has sucked but he always seems to put up monster games against the Raiders so I'm hoping he carries me through.
And I picked up Shaun Hill off the wire and am starting him over Garcia (on the road in Carolina) or Jason Campbell (on the road in Baltimore).
How are every one else's league going?

I joined my first one this year. After losing the first two weeks, I've managed a run of 11 straight wins to clinch first going into the playoffs. I've done it with solid running backs (Ronnie Brown and Clinton Portis) but I'm weak to average at every other position. I'm worried that I may have peaked too early. My RBs are hurting and I get inconsistant work from my QBs (big Ben and Kyle Orton)

I finished 6th in my 12 team league with a losing record. I'm facing the same team that I beat this past week to clinch a playoff spot. My only concern is my receivers. I always seem to start the guy that puts up a big goose egg and ends up costing me the victory. Last week it was Vincent Jackson, but he is playing the Raiders so I am so tempted to put him in. My receiving options are Dewayne Bowe, Jericho Cotchery, Devin Hester, Jackson, and Bradley for the Chiefs. I'm starting Bowe and Hester this week, but it seems that out of the other three, who ever I start will suck, and the guys on the bench will have big games.

I'm in 4 leagues, so I've got damn near every player in the league on one of my teams. I'm actually doing the worst in the CP #2 league. I'm 2nd, 4th, and 4th in the other 3.
Between those leagues, and 3 hockey leagues, I'm worn out!

I play Aaron SJ in the first round of the CP A league playoffs this week. So that league's been pretty good. I'm 8-5 and the #4 seed. Aaron and I played in week 11 and he beat me by 1.75 pts, so it should be a good first round matchup!
In my only money league with the guys at work it has been an extremely frustrating season. The top record in our league is 9-4 and nobody is worse than 4-9. At one point we had all but 2 teams with the exact same record (3-3). Despite being a mere 14 points from leading the league in scoring I am 6-7 heading into the last week. Now I'm pretty sure I can't make the playoffs, but the site has only one team as clinching so I don't know what that' s all about. We only have 4 playoff teams and there are two ahead of me in my division at 8-5. Seems pretty impossible to me. This is the league where early one morning near the beginning of the season I wanted to pick up Eddie Royal and did so. I was going to release Michael Jenkins but accidentally released Michael Turner. Woops. That's what I get for making transactions at 6 AM on 4 hours sleep!

Finished 3rd in the regular season for my longest standing league, had an auto-draft team, might have to pick up Toomer and start him this week in the playoffs.
Got me a first round bye in the CP A league.
In my Vikings league, there are only 8 people, and everyone makes the playoffs (how stupid!) but I'm 2nd in that league.
And in my points pool for money, I'm sitting at #1 for now, just 30 points ahead of 2nd place.

I absolutely tanked in the CP league. I'm attributing this to a bunch of my starters being hurt (Curtis, McGahee, Roethlisberger) or just having awful years (Tomlinson, Ocho Cinco, Reggie Brown).
In my money league (6 teams, $50/team), I have a five-headed beast of a running attack (Tomlinson, Barber, Chris Johnson, Slaton, Jones-Drew) and am in first place heading into the playoffs.

After a surprisingly good start, my absolutely non-existent running game finally caught up to me. Can't believe I was actually still in it until the final week, I thought only four teams made the dance, not six.
Considering how stacked I was at WR, I probably should've tried harder to move one of em for an actual real fantasy RB. Ah well, live and learn.

Can someone please explain to me why all three Saints players were suspended for the StarCaps thing yesterday, but both Kevin Williams and Pat Williams cases have been put on hold? So should I assume that if your team is still in the playoff hunt they'll postpone it for you? Somethin not right here...
EDIT: Just read more into it. I see it was a Minneapolis judge who blocked it, not the NFL. That makes a little more sense now. This is going to get messy...

My pool went the other way around; I struggled at the beginning because of T.O. and Romo and the Cowboys' problems at the start of the season, but then they turned it around and had some monster games. I think I'm in the playoffs now.

I think we all knew this was going to happen, NFLPA files suit to overturn StarCaps suspensions:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3743622
Quote:
The NFLPA's suit may seek retroactive pay for any player who already as served a suspension in which StarCaps was the product in question. The union, as Williams' legal team argued Wednesday in court, will cite that the NFL improperly administered the policy for steroids and performance-enhancing drugs by failing to notify players that it had specific knowledge since late 2006 that StarCaps contained the banned diuretic.
