GM’s at this point probably wait with baited breath for a call from Chiarelli. No matter the GM the team Is a constant victim of sell low and then when the new team beats the Oilers out of the acquired player, they turn into what they were supposed to be. Dubnyk, Schultz, Hall and now possibly Broissoit. If JP is on the block the acquiring team is in for a treat.

Ah yes, the pre-season...Did Spec really think those numbers would carry over to the regular season?!?
Where art thou, pre-season?
Edmonton had an inspiring 7-1 pre-season, but the real sense of optimism came from the various boxes the club checked off during that stretch.
Ty Rattie, Kailer Yamamoto and Jesse Puljujarvi — the three young right-wingers who formed a collective question mark on the right side — all piled up points, turning a perceived weakness into at worst an area that looked like it might carry its own weight. Three games into the regular season, however, the trio has one lonely assist between them. That’s it.
Rattie has been effective, more as a passer than a shooter, while Yamamoto only emerged in Game 3 when he drew a pair of penalties with some inspired play. Puljujarvi, who appeared to have taken a huge step during the pre-season, has been invisible so far, as the 20-year-old proved once again that a young player’s game does not ascend in a straight line.
There is a ton of player in the big Finn, and he’s only 20. But boy, you wonder when the time will come that he becomes an everyday player?
I think I'm a sick individual, I get more satisfaction from an Oilers loss than a Flames win
If your sick, than I am downright twisted...
For the 15 years I lived in Vancouver, I followed the the Canucks closer than I ever followed the my hometown Flames. Feasting with joy at every misstep. Pissed off for hours at any success.

”The bottom six — lines No. 3 and 4 — hasn’t been productive enough, it’s just that simple. If these are a bunch of eight- to 15-goal players, then fine. But those players need to start chipping away at those totals now, not weeks from now, because zero goals from anyone outside the top two lines won’t cut it in today’s NHL.
Dude. Zero goals from every line between 2-4 is not going to cut it. Forget the bottom six—it’s legitimately worth wondering if the Oilers’s second line can actually score a goal.

Obviously the solution is to double triple shift McDavid on the 3rd or 4th line so they can get balanced scoring from all 4 lines.
"Sure, the Oilers have surrendered ten goals in three games, but if you take away all the goals that were tipped, hit the crossbar or post first, were scored on the goalmouth, fired into an open net, and were scored by a player from the other team then the Oilers have a spectacular 0 goals allowed. That sets them up as the top defensive team in the League!"

I guess it was inevitable as he tends to block anyone that gets in the way of that kool aid wave up there, but I haven't even responded to one of his tweets in over a month.
Does any NHL organization employ (yes Staples isn't employed directly but if you know how things roll in that town he's likely on the take) a media person to basically spread propaganda like this? I mean there's zero objectivity to his articles as they are all Oilers organizational spin.
I suppose this calls into question the intelligence of the fan base to even acknowledge this guy. It's clear there's a large percentage of their fan base that is readily willing to gulp down the Kool-Aid. I'm pretty sure if the Flames had attempted something like this with the local rags it wouldn't be received well at all by fans.

their complex when it comes to McDavid is amazing. I guess it's not surprising because that's the only thing this organization can brag about. I hope he wins several meaningless scoring titles while missing the playoffs.
Figured it out last season, he plays about 8 more 20 min games then the other teams “star” forward. So when he wins the scoring title he will basically have played 90 games to the other contenders 82.
Not even just that, but McDavid plays in every situation to pad the stats.
Do you remember the quote last year from Cammalleri? The opposition had an empty net and over the boards MacLellan sends McDavid and Cammalleri was saying:
"Hey, some of us havent scored in a while...."
Nope. McDavid.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

What gets me is blocking someone that disagrees with you. I don't name call, belittle, use names ... keep it above board.
But they don't want to hear dissenting opinions at all.
