It's Amrabat from Morocco. And to be fair VAR only would have gotten them a meaningless win, but I suppose his overriding points stands.

For keyboard jockeys at work, I would highly recommend the Shaw Freerange site if that's your provider. Not sure if Telus has an equivalent.
It lets you have multiple sessions running, which is especially handy for these simultaneous matches. A couple of re-sized browser windows over on your second monitor, mute one of them, and voila! World Cup Central.

And ultimately that might be the most important of the calls. Portugal without Ronaldo are probably getting eliminated by Uruguay. So huge call that one was (not).

Lost the ball? Speculative. Inviting contact? No.....and again speculative.
Penalty awarded on the basic evidence. The defender caught him solidly and clumsily and bundled him over. It's a foul and a penalty.

My stomach still churning after that one.
That game is done and dusted if CR7 puts in the PK. But no, those Portuguese a holes have to give me a heart attack.
Hated the pk that Iran got. I’ve watched ina hundred times and still don’t know how that is “clear and obvious”. Hell, I’m not even convinced it touched the arm.
That PK cost Portugal the group and an easier date with Russia. They’ll have it tough against the biter and Uruguay. But hey, they were in tough at Euro against Croatia after they were less than impressive in the group stage.

Played a heavy touch for sure but still a stupid and clumsy challenge by number 6 - still a penalty IMO because there is still the chance Ronaldo could have gotten to the heavy touch first if not for the challenge.
