Why do you prefer Edwin to Votto? Honestly, their OPSs aren't even comparable. Votto is the superior player.

I believe in the Jays.

Zeke watches 2 strikes, and swings at a ball.

That right there is why you need team speed.
That same hit by the Indians and you don't get any outs anywhere on them.
But Navarro isn't even close to beating that at second.

Well this could be the last inning for Bautista and EE. As annoyed as we are now , I fear the Upton Smoak combo for next year !

Isn't Pompey on the roster? Why didn't he pinch run for Navarro?
Why not Smoak for Barney, saving him to pinch hit for Donaldson?

Same critique I had of that the other night. Why no Pompey pinch running?

Probably right, but completely unscientific but I always discount the National League overall. The numbers comparing the two speak to the opposite of what I think though.

Yes Serious.
They have less hits then the Jays this series.
They are winning cause they are hitting HR's.
5-1
They also have 2 hits from Napoli off the wall that scored runs.
That is 8 of their 12 runs in this series.
Where did they manufactor runs?
They essentially did what the Jays usually do, hit HR's.

Doesn't make sense to burn a PR on someone who isn't the tying or go ahead run.

Agree 100%. Difference in this series is the HR. Just exposes the Jays more because they can't get runs without them.

This lies the problem with the current lineup. I would like to see a more balanced attack next year with players that hit for higher averages but hit less long balls.

You put Pompey in to stay out of a DP or to beat the throw on a close play, which guess what? is exactly what happened?
It's the 8th, what is he waiting for?
