Murray wins 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-3. Milos definitely could and probably should have won today, but Andy did kick it into a higher gear as Mango said above. Still, I did like the game plan that Milos had today, just needed a bit better execution.

Everyone except Milos in action this week.
Genie is in Eastborne (Grass), plays Lepchenko in R64 on Monday
Vasek is the 11th seed in Nottingham(Grass) and gets a first round(R64) bye but Dancevic (remember him?) qualified for this tournament and gets local boy James Ward on Monday
Diez has changed his mind and will compete in Wimbledon qualifying. He gets 11th seed Gerald Melzer from Austria in Round 1.
Finally there is a Futures event in Richmond BC! Bester, Polansky, Peliwo and Kyler are in with a bunch more Canadians trying to qualify.

Genie and Dancevic might start in an hour.
Diez has been pushed to tomorrow.

Begu has been solid this year so a nice easy win should help the confidence. Big chance at Wimbledon to get herself ranked again if she can go on a run.

It unfortunate the way that slipped away from him. From a positive standpoint, Milos is competing very closely this season with the second best player in the world on some pretty large scenes.

Good news for Frank the tank....should do wonders for his confidence heading into hard court season if he's able to grab another win against a very solid Dolgopolov.

Sigh. It's now safe to say the best of Vasek as a singles player has already come and gone. At least it looks like he put up a good fight against a very mediocre Steve Johnson....that's progress the way his year has gone. Wimbledon could prove to be disastrous to his tour ranking (like dropping 40-50 spots bad) if he is unable to defend most of his points from last year's run.

Speaking of Wimbledon....I'm going this year. Now I wasn't able to get any tickets on the ballot, but I know you can get grounds passes the day of if you show up early enough, and there's some tickets on Ticketmaster the day before play. But I'd like to get on Centre of course. So has anyone gone and done the overnight campout to get tickets for Centre (or Court 1)? I'm just trying to get an idea of how early I'd need to be in line to get a ticket. There's some decent guides out there but none of them really tell you when you should show up. Any experiences people have had would be greatly appreciated.

Well, from my tour guide as I was just there 2 weeks ago. People camp at the golf course across the road the duration. That should at least give you some idea of how serious people take it.

So with all of the fun of the Brexit, the Wimbledon draw has kind of faded into the background. Milos unfortunately gets the Novak quarter death sentence, and he's in Goffin's section as well which will make it tough to even get to the quarters. Also potential for Gulbis or Jack Sock in the third round, so not a very kind draw for Milos. Pospisil likewise with a tough draw, with Troicki in the 2nd round, Gasquet in the 3rd and Tsonga in the 4th. Genie's draw isn't too bad though, although Radwanska is her section's top seed and she's beaten Genie a few times this year. But as always Women's Tennis is Women's Tennis so who knows what the draw will look like after a round or two?

heh Steve Johnson ended up winning the tournament! He's now ranked 29.
and yes if Vasek loses in the first round at Wimbledon, he's down to 100th in the world.
Polansky won in Richmond. A nice win that might get him back on track.
There is a Futures event in Kelowna this week.
