So apparently everyone is trying to find out where to vote at the same time. The City's website is completely overloaded right now!

Screw it. I'm going to vote Nenshi, even though this Nenshi hype is making me ill. At the end of the day, I agree with him the most.

Please just make sure all the other doofus incumbents don't get re-elected. (Pincott, Fox-M, Mar to an extent)

Ugh. what a wait. I had to leave and i will go back later. at least a 1 hour wait in Varsity and 95% of the people in there were seniors. I can't imagine how they can stand for so long.
Why did the polls open so late? 10 am is crazy. It is great to see lots of people turn out though.

I have no idea where to vote and the city website isn't helping me. Anyone else in voting subdivision 612?

The other candidates in Ward 8 haven't impressed me. I was just going to go with the incumbent Mar.
Please enlighten me on what he has done in his previous term.

I went at 10:30 hoping some of the door crasher crowd had dispersed. Took me all of 15 minutes.
Good turnout though.

No kidding.
They should have those things open at 7 Am so people can vote on their way to work if they so choose.
I remember way back in the 80's when i went to vote on my way home FROM work and was basically stonewalled by everyone else who had the same idea. Took me over 45 minutes even though I remember knowing my vote wouldnt make a lick of difference in that race as it was foregone conclusion. Many people just walked in and saw the lines and left.
Hopefully that doesnt occur today in such a tight race where all votes truly will make a difference.

I've also waited for a reason to support Barb Higgins. Nothing yet and the clock has reached zero... her campaign is like an episode of McGruber.

This is fun to do no matter the event. Also helps if you have a van. Make sure to drive slowly though.

Found it - Rundle College High School on 17th Ave.
Another quick question - my drivers license doesn't show my current (Calgary) address. Do I just fill out a form stating that I do actually live where I am claiming to live? Or do I have to bring some sort of proof of address?

Maxim just snaked my vote for ward 11 candidate for having a voting station map on his website. Perhaps, more specifically, for being top of the google search for ward 11 voting stations.
For anyone else in ward 11, here are your voting stations:

Just so people know TV coverage for this starts tonight @ 8-9 on CTV, 10-11 for Global. CityTV has its regular programming and CBC has battle of the blades and just for laughs... =.=. I think shaw tv is supposed to have something too, but haven't seen any schedule for it yet.
