so crafting gloves has been pretty lucrative... I sold 3 of gloves listed above for 1+ mil. I decided to take half of that and craft 10 more. Based on what Rathji was saying earlier about crit % and dmg , I am hoping these bring a good return

HAHA... I really don't know values of gloves.. I put these on a D3 site and the current offers are 6.75 mil on the top ones and 2 mil on the bottom... Pretty solid. Suddenly the 36mil I had to spit out on plans isnt looking so horrible

Yea, the gloves plan is really worth it, at least, it has been. Market seems to be getting more and more flooded by the day.
By far the best thing I ever sold though, were these gloves I crafted, and subsequently sold for $200.
I was extra lucky in that they actually dropped as a piece of loot, as opposed to paying alot of money for the plans. The best thing was at the time, I was relatively indifferent to the plans. Was more like "Oh cool, what are these? Oh, 6 prop, wonder how much their worth? Bah, I'll just keep em and hopefully craft an upgrade for myself"

Yup im crafting 30 more gloves right now, just bc the juice! I never tried selling on RMAH ... so I am gonna list 10 gloves tonight with a high stat ( say 120+ int + crit chance %) for 1.99 , BIN for 4.00. Ill see what happens.
Wish me luck on the 30 gloves.

Here is what I am going to try... I have heard bothers are just buying up all the Elite items at ridiculous prices. I listed these in the AH for 350 mil . I am hoping they buy them. Then I will use a gold site that I trust and have used before to sell the 200 million gold at 2$ per million ( undercut their prices by like 40cents a mil for quick sale) . Then I will have 100 mil to craft or whatever plus 400 bucks minus the 10% fee the other site charges. I could get the best of both worlds here.... Anybody wanna buy some Gold?

And that is a perfect example how Blizz greed is ruining the game. Without spending real money (I will never do that as that is beyond sad) OR grinding the game 24/7 you are priced out of the market. If you are not hardcore gamer (kid in the basement) it will take you weeks to get your first mil and even that wont buy you anything because prices are ridiculous thanks to kids with mommy's credit cards.
Can't wait for EA to get hold of this concept, you will start your NHL game with Heat roster and NHL players will be up for grabs on AH. Jarome Iginla, good shot and leadership rolls, only $250!

EA had it long before this came out ..... They have the mode where get packs of cards and put together a team.. Don't like the free cards you can earn? Buy packs online...
Sorry buddy.. Im just going along with the system. Btw Im not a hardcore gamer. I got to play a bit for the last 2-3 weeks cause I have been injured and work was slow. There are many good things you can find for under a million. I think everything I use now was under 750k.

You don't have to participate in the market if you don't want to. That's the major difference between a "pay to win" game and diablo 3. Those games make their games impossible without spending the money to buy items that they create. Diablo 3 just sets up a market for people to sell items to each other.
The game isn't tuned around having the very very best items. It's tuned around a much lower level than that. You can grind yourself and progress at your own pace without the RMAH or even the AH if you wanted to.

and its not like I'm selling everything I make ... These have to be close to one of the best Monk gloves in the game. Sure Dex could be higher etc.. but what are the odds of rolling triple digit dex, Life, almost max all resist , and then the trifecta IAS /Crit/Crit Dmg? The trifecta itself is elusive enough... Hell usually if you get 2 of the 3 and one good main stat you can easily get 7 figured for it , without asking. ( i.e. I use another forum where you post it and they make offers on their own)

The funny thing is, I don't think these $250 bids are being won by people who are using their moms credit card to provide a large sum of money(or theirs for that matter).
Consider this situation:
Say I have got a few good drops and sold them for some RMAH, say $20 in total, for 3,4,3,6, and 4 dollar transactions. I wanted to use that cash to buy some weapon upgrades, but was short a few bucks, so say I put an extra $5 on my CC and bought a bow for $25.
No think about the guy selling those bows for $25, he farmed Act 3-4 Inferno for a couple weeks before the nerf and got a 1 item a day that sold for $25, and a few that sold for $10, $5, etc, so say he takes in $50 a day for a week or so.
Now at this point, it is possible that no one puts more than $5 or $10 in to buy anything, because it is a series of microtransactions that build up, but Act 3/4 farmer guy has a few hundred sitting in his bnet account, so he blows it on the best items in the game for $250.
No one has done anything unreasonable, I mean we have already had the discussion that mindless farming for gold is pointless if you can buy a million for $2-3, I am sure most of us earn enough money to pay 1/10 or less of our hourly pay so we don't sit there for 3 hours doing mindless farming.

If we're talking about the elite of the elite items, yeah, but tough luck. That's not a new concept to the Diablo franchise, those who played more (or bought their items) were far more likely to have the best gear in Diablo 2, that's how the game was designed, I guess if you didn't play D2 it's a new concept but that's what made D2 the game it was really...bunch of nerds like us grinding.
Now, if you just want some "passable" gear, it keeps going down and down and down in price. Unlike D2 where if you got less than top tier items and you were at the "end-game" you didn't pick them up, stash was too small and trading was already inconvenient enough that doing it for minimal return wasn't going to happen. So there became a big gap really between the hardcore gamers and newbies. Now with D3, you get an okay weapon, put in the AH for 5000 gold, better then the 2000 you'll get from vendor, and voila some newbie or non-hardcore gamer just got practically a free item that was far better than the one they were using. When I got to Act 1 Inferno with my Barb at level 60 I had to grind and grind to get items that I see selling in the AH for sub 10K prices now, heck, some of the stuff I used to do Inferno Butcher runs I ended up selling to a vendor because it wasn't worth it at the time to waste an Auction slot and yet to purchase them originally I used my "gold life savings."

To add to this, you can get 2-400k for almost any level 63 un-identified items. A few items go above that 400k mark regularly, including Helion bows, and level 62 rings and amulets (there is no level 63 for those 2 items). For example, I saw 2 Helion bows go for 710k each today to the same bidder, and there are constantly people offering 500k outright for rings and amulets, thats without an auction to drive up prices.
1 million might seem like a lot, but assuming you can do Act 1 Inferno, that anyone level 60 can do with some half decent gear, you can easily whip out a million just in un-id item sales in a few hours of farming.
Also, with good gold farming gear, you can earn 1 million in gold drops in 3-4 hours ( I described in a previous post), so it doesn't require good lick on drops or anything
