Romo makes 20 million a year, maybe he's trying to justify his contract

IMO he's the best of the national guys. Collinsworth and Aikman are just okay but Griese and Riddick I find annoying because they both sound the same and don't add as much value when they talk. In regards to Romo I think there are a handful of times a game he could quiet down but I do think he brings an awful lot of insight to the average viewer that the other guys don't.

I have a rules question after a friend of mine brought this scenario up. Let's say team A wins the coin toss in overtime, and during their first drive, they throw an interception - but during the return, the player of team B fumbles and a player of team A recovers. Does this still count as team A's first possession then, meaning they can't win with a simple FG? Or is a FG enough because technically team B possessed the ball, even though there was never a whistle?

If you have a legitimate possession change, it's no different than team B getting the ball and turning it over on their first offensive play. So Team A would have the ball first and 10 at that spot, and it's the third possession of the Overtime meaning a Field goal get's it done.

I think it's the latter. A fumble is a loss of possession. The overtime rules state that each team will have the opportunity to possess the ball, subject to the exception that the first team to possess the ball can win with a TD or lose with a defensive score... If you've recovered a fumble, you've possessed the ball, so there's no need to apply the exception.

I'm not 100% sure but the logic of that would appear to accord with the rulebook wording.

EDIT: Beaten to it.

Mahomes really did blow it on the final play of regulation before the FG. Had Kelce open initially, Pringle open soon after, and missed them both. Shocked he missed Kelce though, you figured he'd be locked in on that.

After that play to end the first half he was a different player. He had no assertiveness in anything he did after that. He had put together 9 straight quarters plus an overtime of stellar play, and just like that lost all his confidence.

Line is now 4.5 48.5 in the majority of books.

Still think you see 6/6.5 and 50 by game time. Sharp money is still 9 days away.

Well as we get down to the Final days here, the line seems to be holding pretty steady. Was at 4.5 for LAR for much of the week with the total at 48.5. I see it's back down to -4.0 for the Rams. Might see more action start to come in on game day, but right now it's not moved much.

Was listening to something earlier today with a manager from one of the books...said they are trying to figure out where the Rams money is, so a couple of them dropped to 3.5 for a bit today.

I think they are surprised there hasnt been more action on them at this point.

Mask mandate in Vegas has been dropped. Will be a great Super Bowl weekend, with I was there.

Easily the best prop out there is Aaron Donald for Super Bowl MVP. Anywhere from +1200 to +1600 depending on the book. He could easily get four sacks against that Bengals Oline.

Except Donald doesn’t actually get a crazy amount of sacks as teams ensure They neutralize him - especially inside . He had one game with over 1.5 sacks

I actually like the juice on Donald for zero sacks . Pays 2-1 and Donald didn’t have a full sack in half the games this year .

The focus on Donald should open up sacks for the rest of the team - but I think they ensure he isn’t the different maker

The best prop bet is Stafford over 2.5 rushing attempts . He’s been over every playoff game and kneel downs count as rushes so you get the back door clock kill chance as well . Cincy will drop into deeps zone and also rush 4 so lots of running lanes for the QB

Stafford over 2.5 rush attempts pays nothing though, there's not really any value on it's own. In a parlay sure, but Donald as a single bet is easily the best value out there (hence why he's getting the most money for MVP).

Did you see the footage of the Titans game where Burrow spent half the game on the turf? The Bengals offensive line is pretty suspect and there is a chance that the Rams defense really gets to Burrow as he was the most sacked QB in 2021 after all.

Yeah Simmons I think had 4 of those sacks coming in right up the middle at the guard and center. Unless you want to use your Running back to help out you really can't put more guys on Donald other than the guard and center.

I tend to think this game will come in under the 48.5 total. The Rams have a lot of big names on Defence who have played well, and the Bengals defence has been sneaky good in the playoffs with an under rated secondary.

Yeah the Bengals whole line sucks, but the interior in particular is a problem. Per ESPN Stats, this is how their offensive line ranks in pass blocking win rate:

LT is 50 out of 68 tackles
LG is 62 out of 63 guards
C is 26 out of 32 centers
RG is 57 out of 63 guards
RT is 59 out of 68 tackles

It's pretty impressive the Bengals have made it this far with such a crappy line. But this has the potential to be a repeat of last Super Bowl where the Bucs just massacred the Chiefs line. And the Rams have more than Donald to worry about from a pass rush perspective. Bengals are really gonna need to work the middle of the field on short passes, and are probably best served operating very heavily out of the spread and letting Burrow diagnose where the quick throw will be. Operating under center with deep drops seems like a horrible idea.

Donald was +960 on Pinnacle as of yesterday, so guess I got hosed. Also tossed $5 on Von Miller at +2260.
