It’s crazy how close the Pats Super Bowl games always are - 8 Super Bowls with a combined score differential of +4 for the pats (+19 in 5 wins, -15 in 3 losses).

It’s crazy how you could look back at those games and realistically could make a case for them going 0-8, and a case for them going 8-0.

I feel like a big factor was the Pats not capitalizing with many points in first half. Yes they did get the lead but it was only a point. It's tough to win when you basically have to score a TD on every possession in the 2nd half. There is no room for error and one play buried them.

kudos to Philly and Foles in particular: his accuracy was unbelievable and the Pats defense simply could not find a way to stop him

It really came down to who could make a play on Defence. Pats had a good stop for. a FG but the eagles had the strip sack which was better.

The half time show was horrible, was JT on speed?

The game was entertaining as all hell, back and forth, mistakes and beautiful passes.

Yup, every single Brady patriots super bowl has been a close game at the end. Some weren't close all throughout the game, but all were close at the end.

Margins of victory in all 8:
3,3,3,3,4,4,6, and today's 8 points.

None of the games were made a one score game by a late meaningless score. Every one came down to the final play.

Brady is a fantastic QB, many good cases can be made that he is the greatest of all time. Belechick might be the greatest coach of all time, but opposing teams must have good coaches to make the super bowl as well. Belechick occasionally gets outcoached.

The Patriots executed nearly flawlessly today, at least on offense. However, they were slightly outcoached and out executed today. Foles was outstanding - many perfectly thrown passes thrown into tiny windows.

I like the competitive Superbowls, I lived through the Super joke era where it was blowout after blowout and just not enjoyable.

Also happy to hear that Collinsworth doesn't know what he's talking about. I've watched VERY little NFL this year and was trying to figure out how in the world that last Eagles touchdown could possibly be overturned... was afraid maybe the NFL enacted some crazy rule that I've never heard of.

I was beginning to think Collinsworth was pro-Patriots. Come on now, how many steps does the guy have to do in order to declare he is on possession of the ball? He caught the ball and took 3 steps. Then when he went down, the ball popped loose after hitting the turf but he still recovered the ball.

NFL have some weird rules on no-catch thing. In the CFL, if the guy caught the ball he just need to take 2 steps and it is considered a catch. If he drops the ball it's a fumble.

I am very happy for Nick Foles. Here's the guy that Eagles fans and media all over US wrote off. They said Eagles will not win a playoff with Foles as QB. Guess what the guy they claim will not win a playoff game played well, won the Super Bowl and MVP. He is one of the reason why I was cheering for the Eagles today.

Covers.com reported that he made a $3 million bet on the Eagles at the MGM, their second-largest Super Bowl wager ever. It was not specified if it was on the point spread or moneyline.

William Hill U.S. was the second sportsbook to report taking a $1 million bet on the Eagles from Bettor X. Director of trading Nick Bogdanovich said his book accepted a $1 million money-line bet on Philadelphia at plus-165 odds.

Sportsbook operator CG Technology and the South Point both took six-figure money-line wagers on the Eagles for $700,000 and $500,000, respectively, from him. A source told ESPN's David Purdum that Bettor X put down an additional $500,000 on the Eagles moneyline.?

Johnny Avello, executive director for Wynn Race & Sports, told ESPN's David Purdum that he also took a "good-size, six-figure" money-line bet on the Eagles from Bettor X, adding to what had already been lopsided action on Philadelphia.

Yeah he might love Philly, but I'm guessing he loves the idea of $30-40 million guaranteed a lot more. And I'm guessing the Eagles like the thought of finding another backup QB while scoring a first round pick as well. I'd rather have Foles than Keenum, and probably Cousins too for that matter. Cousins has a propensity for choking in big games, Foles obviously not so much. Eagles and Foles will both cash in here.

I can see him playing one more year in Philly. He is under contract, not overly expensive, and the Eagles do have to be careful with Wentz coming off a major knee injury.

I suppose if Rosen gets a massive offer, he will trade him but I can see the case for Foles in Philly next year.

I don't think GM's will be tripping over themselves trying to trade for Foles just as I don't see a lot of GM's willing to give Case Keenum a $20 million/season contract. These guys have been around and teams know they are good QB's that can win but only in the right situation. He's a good not great QB that was in the perfect situation in Philadelphia. Now I give him credit for balling in the last two playoff games as his accuracy on some of those long balls was as good as you will ever see. In the right situation he can be very good as we saw this playoffs but on a team like the Browns or Bills he would be a disaster as he's not that kind of QB that's going to elevate an offense. Also it has to be noted that the Eagles pass protection last night was flawless as he had mostly clean pockets to operate in. It was just the perfect situation and I think most NFL GM's realize that. There will be interest in him for sure when he becomes a free agent as a lot of good teams will consider him a very good insurance policy but I don't think GM's will be under the illusion that he's a franchise QB.
