The first period of the Providence game followed the same script as the BC game earlier this afternoon. The visiting team scored an early one, but the home team came back and scored two to take a 2-1 lead to the intermission.
No points for Jankowski or Gilmour. Janko went 4 for 6 in the dot. Gillies stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced.

It's also now 4-2 for Providence on an EV goal by Maine.
This is for those of you who are using this forum as your sole source for the college hockey playoffs and not listening to several radio feeds like the rest of us.

Would Agostino not want to finish his academic year at Yale? I appreciate his college hockey season and career is likely about to finish, and that he'd be eligible to sign a pro contract, but wouldn't he wait unti the end of the semester befor entertaining thoughts about playing hockey anywhere else?

I believe, and do not quote me on this. That there are summer graduating programs made available for Athletes and others. Could be wrong but I would bet a dollar they would have those.

When your options are:
a) college finals, or
b) $2-3M dollars
I think you choose b) 99 times out of 100. I would.
edit:
Kenny Agostino's #cawlidgehawkey career comes to an end.
He could do both. I'm sure Burke would let him finish school if he wanted.
I always get a kick out of this. He didn't go to school for Political Science, he went on a hockey scholarship. He's not running for office anytime soon and a B.A. is basically worthless anyway.
A Yale degree is NOT useless, no matter what subject area he's in. He's a month away from graduating from one of he most elite schools in the entire world - I think it's reasonable to think that he might want to finish that out.
He'll get his big payday either way.
But as dammage79 pointed out, perhaps there will be completion options available to him in the summer.
Regardless, if he does sign and join the organization, it will likely be a big boost for the Heat and a great opportunity for Agostino to get his first taste of pro hockey.
