I don't always agree with Chucky Gruden; however he is right, a pass interference call needs to be obvious, there was some pretty marginal calls tonight against both teams. the refs make these game tough to watch at times

Hahaha, that's awesome. After ATL got that late TD on a ridiculous call, I thought there was no way the Jets could march all the way down like that. I love it

that is why it is win now for the 49ers and Seahawks, they have their all pro QB's on a reasonable contract and if Flacco can get 20 per year, their QB's might as well in a couple years

The Eagles may suck, but the Falcons are 1-4 and the Giants are 0-5. Life is good.

Maybe it's their secondary but it is hard to cover wrs for 10 seconds while Geno sat unpressured in the pocket for all but 4 plays (2 sacks 2 scrambles). Their pass rush is terrible.

Mike Smith blew that game. His team fails 3 times to get the ball in the end zone, gets a gift penalty, and he still refuses to3 points. Points that would have come in handy at the end of the game. They weren't playing the Broncos. Teams who are decent on defence and get good special teams play end up winning a lot of games if they don't turn the ball over.

Better than jersey's used in the past. But it's the Pro Bowl, how many people will actually be watching?

Julio Jones is reportedly out for the year now with a foot injury. Will seek a second opinion before deciding on surgery. Quite frankly the Falcons owe it to Tony Gonzalez to trade him back to Kansas City and let him actually play meaningful games and make a run at a ring. He didn't come back to be on a 5-11 team, which Atlanta now has the makings of.

Looks good on him. One of the more smug, arrogant coaches that there are. I recall he had issues a few years ago with similar decisions too.

Fun stat from the ESPN power rankings today.

Quote:
Cleveland is 3-0 since trading Trent Richardson, averaging 94 rushing yards per game with 14 first downs. They averaged 56 rushing yards and three first downs before the trade.

that actually makes some sense because defences aren't playing the run against them anymore.

As bad as that trade looked right away and as much as it seemed like a Browns being the Browns thing, its looking like they fleeced the Colts for a 1st round pick. Richardson is averaging 3 yards a carry still with the Colts.

He certainly has.

As a fan of their rival, I'm obviously more critical than most. I know I've pointed out Smith's poor decisions before. 2012 NFL Thread

ESPN's NFL Live just had a piece about his multiple flubs, especially on 4th down.

Should have taken the 3 pts, Falcons run game was BRUTAL up to that point.

As a Saints fan I'm enjoying the Falcons follies
