Nice early goal by Foucault, and a weak one through De Serres. And then they throw it away. ugh.

This is a nothing game in the grand scheme of things, but it is critical for momentum heading into the semi. Calgary needs a good effort from start to finish.

Jeebus. 4-1 Hitmen now. Hope they save some of this for the one that matters!

Well if you were looking for effort, you're getting it! Every goal I've seen (last 3) have been from within 2 feet of the net, crashing and banging away. Bubnick/Shattock/Focault line going to work!

I love it. Put a lot of doubt in Brandon's head for Fridays game. 5-1

Doubt is good, but risking overconfidence against a team looking for a rebound effort is dangerous.

That said, just can't help that Brandon is not very good tonight. Calgary is winning every battle.

Oh I'm glad that review is at a 5-1 score in a meaningless game.

I don't think it crossed fully, and thank god this isn't in a 2-1 game in the final.

That is really cool being able to hear the ref and the goal judge discuss it.

Brandon is a highly skilled team with great players but through the Eastern Conference Final and again tonight they play as individuals rather as a team, I think that is a huge difference. The other thing is, neither one of De Serres or Hayes is a top end goalie and it is going to and has killed them against elite teams. Against average/poor teams the Wheat Kings could get away with crappy goaltending. De Serres cannot control rebounds at all.

Lotta idiocy at the end of that game, as one might expect. I missed the cross check. Gotta go back and watch again to see if Burgart is likely to be suspended.

Ok, just saw it - Ridiculous major penalty. Two minutes, absolutely, but not five.

Brave move by Calvert at the end there jabbing his stick in Jones's skate from behind for no reason.

Beach with 34 PIMs tonight, heh. Memorial Cup record perhaps?

I hope Focault is ok. That would suck if he can't play in the semis because he got hurt late in this meaningless game. Him, Bubnick and Shattock was Calgary's best line tonight against Brandon. Hopefully they can carry that over into the semis.

I hope Schultz is okay. He is the leader on the Hitmen imo.

They have been Calgary's best line in this whole tournament not just tonight.

Man I wish I had cable, this sounds like it has been some great hockey. Calgary is looking strong to go to the final. Hope Brandon wakes up and makes a game of it.

Wonder which jerseys the Hitmen will choose to wear for the next game.

Thanks, I'm in the country so streaming is choppy most times. I'll give it a go though.

CGY has beaten BDN 5 out of the last 6 games, and three in a row in Brandon. Yet, the Weak Things can make the final by stealing ONE game at home. There needs to be reform in this tournament.

I'd really like to see a best of seven for the final, but how do you set that up with three leagues?

Leave it the way it is. Teams that deserve to win the tournament win big games. Tomorrow is another example.

Kozun is in tonight, and Burgart wont face any further discipline for his hit.

Should be a fun game. These two teams are going to beat on each other something fierce tonight.
