It seems teams are scared off by a few thing with him. One being that he's too damn smart, and two his desire to be like a neurosurgeon or something equally difficult after football. They question his "commitment" to the game. Yeah, I know, it's dumb, but keep in mind these are the same GM's that will ignore 3 years of game film and drop a guy 20 spots because he ran a sucky shuttle drill.

His 40 time wasn't great either, but I tend to think that's overrated when it comes to safeties, especially if they're going into a zone scheme.

I have wondered if the Chiefs would pass on Berry because they figure they might get a guy like Rolle in round 3 or later and if they were stronger up the middle a guy like him might become more effective than a good safety behind a weak middle. In terms of smarts and character he would be a Scott Pioli guy. He's also built like a freaking gladiator.

I tend to think the entire combine is a freaking joke. Give me years of game film. Can the guy play? Oh, he can, sweet. But that's just me. So, should someone be making a pick soon then? Not trying to derail your draft here.

Okay Frank was given his time here. Looks like Maurkice Pouncey the C from Florida is the guy most of us think would be on the Steelers board? Speak up now or forever hold your peace.

Okay with the 19th pick Pagal selects Brandon Graham DE Michigan.

I really don't know the Falcons all that well but I've heard talk that they might look to trade Jamaal Anderson who's production wasn't particularly good last year. John Abraham is also getting older and he only had 5.5 sacks last year. When you run a 4-3 and your tackles produce twice as many sacks as your ends do, you can probably look for an upgrade.

Alright we have our first trade of the draft.

Houston trades picks 20, 51, and 147 in the 5th round to the Eagles for picks 24 & 37.

Nice job working out a deal there men. Rube is now up with the 20th pick.

Eagles take Thomas if he's still on the board. Easy pick.

No way thomas makes it this long in the real draft in my opinion. Hes pretty close to a sure fire stud, if philly wants him im guessing they trade with miami up to 12

With the 20th overall selection, the Philadelphia Eagles take Earl Thomas, S, Texas.

Sorry, Swayze. Had to do it. The Eagles add what should hopefully be the answer at FS since the Dawkins departure.

With the 21st overall pick the Cincinnati Bengals select:

Jermaine Gresham - Tight End (Oklahoma)

After getting screwed over by Rube (told him who I was gonna pick, and he said he wanted Kyle Wilson more then Thomas - oh well) we picked the best Tight End in the draft. Hes an absolute massive guy who has great hands and speed. This will allow the Bengals offense to be a threat on every down with Ochocinco, Bryant, Benson, and now Gresham.

Earl Thomas would have been a no brainier with this pick because the Bengals need a safety and a tight end, so I decided to fill one of the two needs with this pick.

With guys like Sergio Kindle and Brandon Graham off the board, the New England Patriots will have to look to the second round to fill their OLB pass rush need.

I believe if the draft breaks down similar to this the Patriots trade back and pick up a third round pick which they are missing in this years draft as a result of the Derrick Burgess trade with Oakland

However, with the 22nd pick in the CP NFL Mock Draft, the New England Patriots are proud to select, from Penn State, Defensive tackle/end, Jared Odrick.

Odrick arguably the most NFL ready defensive player in the draft, will help to fill the void left by the departure of Richard Seymour at RDE. At 6'5 296pnds Odrick is the prototypical New England lineman. His athleticism allows for explosiveness and pass rush in the 3-4 defensive scheme.

WR was a tempting pick with Demaryius Thomas still on the board but with such a deep WR class, the pats should be able to snag a good one in the 2nd round with 3 picks
