No i wouldn't, but both you and I know that scenario would never happen. I respect him as a goalie...if Canada plays the way they way they did tonight, you can throw osgood in net and it's the same result. But if they are in a tight game, i am not confident with either starter.

I don't think he touched the puck but I don't care, I am very happy with Iggy's play.

I agree, good thing it has no bearing on Luo's performance

I won't argue with you anymore I saw your post in the other "Luo is starting" thread and I really don't feel like talking to a wall tonight.

I still can't believed the Russians are done this early. Sucks to be them. I think they were hoping to play someone else other than Canada before this game. When is the semi-final game against Sweden/Slovak?

It will be Friday. I suspect it will be 6:30 as well instead of noon.

Friday at 7:30 MST, other game is at 1:00 MST so you would have to think it was the later one.

**Corrected time.

Ovechkin was terrible in this tournament. Best player in the world my ass. He was scared of the Canadians. Even Kovalchuk, who I expected to disappear, was better than him.

We're lucky they didn't meet in the finals like so many wanted. Not that the Russians were very likely to get into the finals with that kind of game.

He was better than Brodeur last start.

I thought he played great. As much as Russia sucked today, they still have a boatload of star scorers, and Luongo did as much as any goalie would have. I', completely confident in our goaltending situation going forward.

Huge point. I remember saying before the tournament that Nabokov doesn't scare me, he is overrated. I believe it was Oilfan81 and others who mentioned how he will be a Vezina contender again this year, etc. etc.

You have to wonder how much he has to do with the Sharks never doing squat in the playoffs.

Wasn't it a foot to stick, then pass play? I know he got an assist on the goal. He was great tonight. Is he still top scorer in the games?

I apologize in advance, cause this might not be a very nice thing to say, but as a citizen of one of the former Eastern Block countries I can't help it... This has to be said: Way to go boys! You put on a great show by thrashing them. Bykov is left with the memories of Albertville '92. Looking at the score makes me feel incredibly good. Serves them right.
