Add me to the list of people that have seen the "small star moving around slowly and changing directions."

It wouldn't be so weird and you could just scuff it off as a satellite, but when it starts changing directions and speeds, that's where it doesn't make sense to us monkeys.

Either the gov't isn't telling us something or.... well... the gov't is most likely not telling us something.

The F117 stealth fighter first flew in 1981 from area 51. It was not made public until 1988. They actually crashed two of them during testing and the general public never found out. How many UFO sightings do you think this contributed to and how many more are similar testing.

The Bible is as much evidence pointing towards God as Close Encounters of the Third Kind is evidence pointing towards aliens.

Isn't it a little hypocritical to dismiss the thousands and thousands (actually it would be more like millions and millions) of people telling stories about their encounters with God, yet you believe stories of alien encounters to be evidence?

I'm agnostic BTW.

Those people already have a slanted mind towards god and religion.
Most people that see UFOs or are abducted previously, had no interest in the subject.

No there aren't... at least not from what you posted. Most of those pictures are reaching severely or have been disproved by the Mars Orbiter and the rest....

Seeing a UFO is not evidence of an alien aircraft, it's just evidence that you saw something you could not identify. Since none of us know what sort of jets or weapons the airforce may have and be testing, there is very likely a lot that we can not identify.

Have you ever met someone who was abducted by an alien? Were they mentally stable prior to their story?

I agree it looks like some kids were playing house and the snow. But you can't say it's fake any easier then you can say it's real. It's probably fake tho.

But then I realized it was Halloween and I was smoking salvia. Freaky as hell tho.

I swear to god (heh) that I saw a UFO when I was a kid in the late '70's. It was a large (at least 40 feet or so), bright white light that came over the hill then flew along the surface of Lake Cowichan for a ways, then disappeared. The flight path was like I'd expect from a helicopter, but there was no noise, it was completely silent. It was within a few hundred metres when it disappeared.

Silent helicopters have been around since the Vietnam War. For instance:

If you look at the website that is actually posted on, they point out blurry photos from the moon with strange geological formations, then mention they look something like aerial photographs of ancient ruins on Earth... then they show that photo, lol. It's a photo of ruins here on Terra. I think FoxMulder91 just did a Google search for "Mars ruins". It's the third result.

I have looked at this a lot on the internet. I love space, and have read up on these type of claims. Also, I believe the Discovery Channel has had programs on this. They say there are cities on Mars too.

Unless I am completely missing what you are trying to say!

An entirely credible explanation. The light seemed too big, but it's not like it couldn't have been a series of lights on the machine. It was very weird and spooky, anyway.

Amongst those who study the stars, astronomers, astro-physicists, those people are the most skeptical of aliens visiting us.

I think that says a lot, like me I believe in alien life, but due to the enormous challenges of space travel and the immensity of the universe finding life is not going to be easy nor will it be easy to find us.

We've always been claiming to see things, before the 1900's it was demons, witches, now its grey aliens.

Humans are really bad at one thing, eyewitnesses; so until there is real proof, not just the anecdotal stuff we hear I'll keep being skeptical.

But I'm not as eloquent as Neil deGrasse Tyson, so lets hear it from a real scientist.

I completely believe that there are other civilizations out there, however I think its a completely other different argument that they've been here.

I believe that the fact that we've never seen visible proof of aliens in our neighborhood and the length of time that it would take to even travel between systems at the speed of light makes it unlikely that visitors have been here.

The vast amount of stars (billions) in the universe tells me that its unlikely that they would have even seen evidence that there is life here, combine that with the probable differences in technology, language, math and perception means that the radio waves and television waves that have left this planet would not be interesting and more then likely sound like random background space noise to them.

The obvious differences in terms of evolution and basic components of life would possibly mean that they could see life here and not even perceive it as life let alone intelligent life.

Even if they had sent a unmanned probe here it would take several thousand years for telemetry to get back to them, therefore the most likely is that the signals that are getting to them would show random stupid microbes or dinosaurs or even early mammels stupidly roaming the planet.

To me its equivalent to me throwing millions of marbles onto an area the size of Calgary and trying to find the one marble with a micro organism on it, its an impossible task to find that one marble with even the possibility of life on it, and once finding it having to crawl to it traveling at one foot per 100 years.
