I made the dumb decision to bet on the Steelers to cover today. If only they knew how to cover a fricken kick that game might have been different. Arghh..

looks like most of you play multi-game tickets, where i play single games....here's my system:
i start with $120. create 4 piles of $30. each $30 dollar pile, i have 4 betting values...level 1 = $2, level 2 = $4, level 3 = $8 & level 4 = $16. as you can see, every time i lose, i double my next bet, to a max of 4 times. level one bets are pure profit. level 2 bets need to be at least a 1.50 to get back my lost level one bet. level 3 needs to be at least a 1.75, to get back my lost level 1 & 2 bets. and level 4 bets need to be at least a 1.875 to get back my lost level 1, 2 & 3 bets. any odds above my 'break even' odds is profit.
so, if i do things right, i only need to hit 1 in 4 bets to keep my money going. yes, as the level increases, the dangers of losing increase and profits decrease....but i've been pretty good at not getting greedy, so most of my bets are in the level 1 & 2 ranges.
i hope this all made sense, and of course, a spreadsheet to keep track of it all! i also only bet on hockey.

Anyone who plays pro-line pointspread should realize that the government gives all games a -127 rating when betting point spread, where any online betting site will give you -105 to -115 worst case.
Essentially you are down 10-20% before even betting all things considered
