I've heard sirens in the Crowfoot area for the last 5 minutes.

Haven't seen anything on fire though.

I didn't dare move any flower pots around, I might be blown away.

I'll just have to evaluate the damage in the morning.

Well, just received word that my friend's car got hit by a flying metal garbage can lol. I shouldn't be laughing, but the situation so insane, you just have to laugh.

I went for a quick drive about 20 minutes ago, and there is a huge tree down in the street. Looks like lightning struck a tree in someone's backyard, and it came down taking out the power lines, his fence, etc. Tried to get some pics from my car but unfortunately you can't really see anything.

Darn, not enough lightning outside by my window to make my camera recorder have much justice.

Well folks, I'll tell ya, we really dodged a bullet there. I imagine we will be seeing some pretty devastating damage NW of the city. Or even around Airdrie. Golf ball sized hail would do unimaginable damage if it was to have hit the city.

Well, that fizzled out real quickly. Just some strong winds and some light rain here in High River.
