Never mind....i think ill change it to God Put A Smile Upon Your Face by Coldplay.

Here is a fantastic tutorial. http://www.guitarnoise.com/lesson/go...pon-your-face/

Its a great song too!

Once you tune the guitar its probably the easiest song i know, yet it sounds completely awesome. I love open tunings.

For my next song, I'm going to do a great acoustic song 'Running to the edge of the world' by Marylin Manson. Even if you don't usually like Manson, give this one a try, as it isn't typical Marylin Manson.

I've been on a huge Metric tear lately, so I'll take Help I'm Alive...the acoustic version though.

Brick - Ben Folds Five

Yeah, it's a piano tune, but it sounds great as a guitar cover if you can manage the vocals.

That song is so good and so sad. I don't think I'll pull out a song about abortion at the camp-fire.

Wow, that's crazy - I had always thought that it was a jaded song about a bitchy girlfriend.

No, that would be his other song, Song For The Dumped:

So you wanted
to take a break
Slow it down some and
have some space
Well fata you too
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
you bieksa
I want my money back
(And don't forget to give
me back my black T-Shirt)
Wish I hadn't bought you dinner
Right before you dumped me
on your front porch
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
You bieksa
I want my money back
and don't forget
And don't forget.

Not worth a new thread, but since I'm not musically inclined thought I would post here. My son is 7 and he wants to take guitar lessons. Is that too young? My thought is that if he is a little older say 10ish he might be more commited to practice then a 7 year old. The other problem I see is that since I know nothing of music I have to differ to lessions excusively for his education. Help, I don't want to squash an interest but just want I little education. Feel free to pm me as I do not want to derail your thread. Thanks.

My boy is nearly 8 and wants to start lessons too. I'm going to ask at the guitar shop if he can start soon. His hands are still small, so I got him a little toy guitar that does not stay in tune for long. I will let you know what they recommend.

A lot of guitar prodigies started playing at 5 years old.
