I know, I just think it is goofy.
One day we'll have a World Cup with 24 teams full of former Brazilians?

What a performance! Croatia obviously weren't at their best but England controlled start to finish. There was never a doubt in what the result would be.
5-1 didn't tell the story. Shocking as it may sound it very well could have been a larger margin of victory. A bit sloppy defending on the goal against but that's alright.
I can't believe England are on to South Africa so easily. Usually they wait until there is 10 minutes left in the last possible game it seems.

Yeah it's a little goofy but most teams are still quite nationalistic and may have a Brazilian or two sprinkled in. Heck even Canada's had a Brazillian before.
On the day that England recruits a Brazillian, they'll change the rule

Shows what can happen when you get a coach that has a clue.

They've been dominant. Easily the best European team in qualifying. Hopefully that'll translate into success a year from now.

In other news; those damn dirty Slovaks have basically eliminated Northern Ireland. Scotland also eliminated today at the hands of the filthy Dutch.

In the Asian region, Saudi Arabia scores in injury time and then Bahrain equalize at very death in an absolutely crazy finish and it is them who will face New Zealand in the final playoff. Bahrain advance 2-2 on away goals
Saudi Arabia miss out for the first time since 1990. I watched both legs and Bahrain are crap. I think New Zealand really has a good chance to qualify for the World Cup.

Portugal were less than impressive in a ridiculously boring 1-0 win.
Still have faith, but will need Sweden to drop points in their final two games, the first one which is in Denmark. That's my only hope.

Uhhh.....no. Holland and Spain for my money, but this is quite possibly the best English side in a long, long time.
Man, Portugal were absolutely DOMINANT today, they scored a goal!

They've performed the best in qualifying. You can't argue with results.

Spain and Holland are also 8-0, but in 8 games they only allowed 2 goals each. I think thats pretty impressive. I also think that Holland plays in the toughest group out of the 3 teams.

They're all good teams. I think England have been a lot more explosive than people expected them to be.
On another note, my dad really wants to go to South Africa for the World Cup. I'm going to see how serious he is, and then see if I can get my hands on some England tickets

Forget it, unless you're rich and willing to spend lots of money to be treated like a criminal. The English supporters are always the biggest hooligans and they are a logistical nightmare for the authorities to deal with. You can only get tickets from your local team, not the FA, so unless you're a season ticket holder from one of the 92 professional teams in the FA, forget it. Your best bet is to bid one a ticket from a country that is playing England and watch them that way. Be prepared to pay big bucks though.

Not even remotely true. World Cup tickets are being sold in phases, much like the tickets for the Olympics in Vancouver. You can buy them through an application process on FIFA's website.

Yep, England packages may be available through clubs, but that's not the exclusive means of getting them. It's still going to be pretty tough.

Chile rallied to tie Brazil at 2 before Brazil broke it open despite only having 10 on the pitch. Nilmar scored a hat trick. Chile should still qualify thankfully as they only need one point in the last 2 games.
Argentina sunk to 5th in south America and their last 2 games are against bubble teams that like them will be fighting hard to get in. Argentina could very realistically miss the World Cup.
