Even if the Kid deserved to be booted in the head, the Cop needs to act in a professional matter. Hes supposed to the smart one.

You'd shoot down the chopper with an RPG or something?

You can actually see the exact moment they all stop and realize he's out cold. Although, the lack of movement prior to a flying baton whack may have been an indicator.

Yeah, it's kind of weird though, because your opinion on police chases is "Meh. Who cares. Stupid bad guys running from cops deserve it.".... You defended the original video as basically saying that if you run from the cops, you dserve what's coming.

So criminals deserve what they get from cops after a chase, but only to a certain point that you deem acceptable?

I'm officially drawing my line at beating already unconscious suspects. You can't do that.

Fair enough, and I guess my point (I'm not trying to be confrontational or anything) is that most people in a country like Canada or teh US would draw the line at any unnessecary, excessive force, aka the cop booting a kid in the head while he's on the ground with his hands outstrecthed in a surrender position.

In case it wasn't obvious, I was being a little bit sarcastic. But I will say that our definitions of excessive force are different. But I am actually going to try and take a step back from discussing these topics, because while I hate that people jump on the cops without knowing the full facts, I do pretty much the exact opposite, and I guess that isn't fair either.

I think people need to be referenced to the 5 cops that just got fired in the States for beating on a suspect after a crazy car chase that ended in a crash. That was a far worse situation than this one, and the cops still got fired for beating on the suspect after he was on the ground (and being knocked the F out, too).

The initial resistance means nothing if the guy has given up and isn't fighting the cuffs.

Some of you may feel it's okay to beat on people after they've surrendered, but, I guess that's why you're not cops (thankfully). Or maybe that makes you better suited for it? Who knows. We all know police beatings after a suspect surrenders is always good for curbing criminality in society.

Edit: Seems people have already referenced it.
