The Cracker-Katz have got Lance Berkman available. Nice of the autodraft to select two first basement in the first two rounds. But everyone on my roster is always trade bait.

Take a look at my team (The Yanks), and see what you think. I don't think I have a good closer, but my infielders and outfielders seem to be pretty good. I am in the market for some decent starting pitchers.

Is the AAA still a go? The draft is today and we've got six teams. Just checking to see if I should draft.

Man I'm excited for the start of the MLB season. So.... here are the odds for the fantasy league....
Pagal. 6-1. Volquez is a great pick. Top flight team all around, no doubt about it. But not quite up to the level of...
Cracker-Katz. 4-1. Provisional favorite. Solid top to bottom. You couldn't ask for a better team drafting out of the 13 spot. Will lead the league in Chris Youngs for sure.
Captain Manning. 20-1. No one who drafts Barry Zito is allowed to win.
Jiggy. 9-2. Hell of a team. Expect for the Jay and the 2 NAs. Hopefully Milton Bradley likes playing at Wrigley, where the fans are so close to the field. Milton likes people.
The Evil Empire. 75-1. How many fricken Yankees do you need? The Yankees haven't won a championship in years, mostly because their players are over rated. Doesn't bode well, my friend.
The Yanks. 25-1. A decent mix of the young and very old. At least you didn't draft any Yankees. Probably because they were all taken^.
Suave. 8-1. Three big questions for this team. Will Victor Martinez stay healthy? Will Johan Santana remain mostly dominate? Will CC set the record for most pinstripes on a uniform? Stay toon'd.
Moon's Monsters. 12-1. I really like this team. Except for the FOUR players who aren't in the majors right now. Bench strength = 1.
Habby Hitters. 15-1. 6 OFs will create problems getting enough ABs. I suspect your pitching will disappoint.
Tim Crabtree FC. 7-1. Anyone who drafts a Cracker-Cats is a winner in my books. I really like your batters (except Barajas and Luis Castillo). Need Bedard to pitch like he's in a contract year.
ricoFlame33. 14-1. Stole Shin Soo Choo from me. I worry that your bottom 5 starters are owned in 2% 4% 5% 4% and 4% of Yahoo leagues.
Field of Cream. 100-1. 5 guys on the DL. 1 in the minors. No third baseman. Why couldn't I get you for week 1?
FlickeredFlames. 8-1. I'm tempted to invoke the Zito rule for Scott Rolen, but I like your team more.
The Sports Junkies. 14-1. I wouldn't entirely mind having Pablo Sandoval as my starting 3B, except he plays on the worst offensive team in history. I wonder how much SF wants Bonds to come back just so they'll have something.
kipperfanians. 20-1. A decent mix of solid fantasy producers, guys I've never heard of , and players either on the DL or NA.
FlamesKickAss. 30-1. I keep wanting to believe in Dioner Navarro, Howie Kendricks, and Khalil Greene. But I can't. Not anymore. Not after what they've done to me.
RubeCube. 10-1. What's the over under for games played by DL Drew? If I could guarantee you 100 would you take it right now? Lots of Rps
iggnuef. 50-1. Solid position players. Suspect pitching after Hamels and Lidge. Better be hoping the Phils don't have a championship let down. Also, I'm prejudiced against guys that use two player names in concert like that. I'm really sorry, but my father taught me that as a child. And I haven't been able to overcome it.

Larf! I have to agree with CrusaderPi on my 3rd base issue. I drafted Sandoval as a catcher but by the time I realized that I had nothing at the hot corner I had to move Sandoval to 3rd and stick Napoli behind the plate. It will have to do for now. Great summary Crusader.

Meh... draft means very little... Last year I changed a crap load of players....
Zito may make it till May if he is lucky...
I'll take the 20-1 odds however....
Great job with the write up.

I like those odds. Now I just need to find the next Cliff Lee on the waiver wire like I did last year and I will be set. Hopefully Schafer is my diamond in the rough pickup this year.

Wow, thanks for the props? I don't like my team all that much, but I'll take those 6-1 odds.
Great writeup Pi!

my team is terrible. Thems the breaks when you leave it up to the auto draft (didn't have time to rank the players myself). Oh well. We'll see what happens.

Is there no playoffs in either league? I just noticed in setting it is set to none.
You can pick 4,6,8 teams

Yeah, looks like no playoffs have been set up. Pagal, can you change that?
Also, do we want to do 8 teams this year as opposed to 6?

Wow, I didn't even see that.
8 teams but which weeks? Am leaning towards weeks 22, 23 and 24...leaving the last week of the season with no fantasy sports. Or we can do 23, 24, 25.

I'd be fine with no fantasy in the last week, the lineups are all wonky anyways.

First trade.
I sent Lance Berkman and some slug from Oakland to Captain Manning for (the great) Gil Meche and Elvis Adrus.

I was looking for another solid hitter Lance Berkman fits that role, the slug happens to be Dallas Braden from Oakland who is a SP. He pitched well in his first game of the season for Oakland.
However, had to move Meche which is a really solid Pitcher and a rookie Short stop. With Hanley Rameriez in the lineup another SS is not really needed.

Kipperfanians are proud to announce the availability of one Ryan Zimmerman, a solid three bagger that I know someone can use. I need pitching in return, a closer or decent starter is what I am hoping for.

What you need is a 3rd baseman - I think Zimmerman would be a good fit! Perhaps you should view my trade proposal as I think it benefits us both.
