I disagree, I am very glad Huff cut him if he broke some kind of rule. It shows he isnt kidding around when he has policy's in place for players.

My point was that it must be pretty significant to cut a guy over. I don't think they generally cut vets for minor things.

the Fan is saying that he slammed copeland to the ground after the whistle during a drill. They are also speculating it is other things including some off field incidents. This may have just been the straw.

He was complaing about the new security and blamed all the melonheads. Huff didn't like it because the melonheads insure a sellout when they come to town.

He was a reciever at UT, Peyton's last backup, over his last 2 years there was Tee Martin.

it's hard to know what else was going on and if the fight with Copeland was simply the last straw, but I do know coaches are employed as long as they win, so I can imagine that it was some combination of:
The rest of the players have no respect for Armour
He's not as good as he used to be
He gets into trouble all the time or at least more than we know about
The incident with Copeland was significant and aboug 100% Armours fault

I was not impressed with Armour last season so I don't think it is a big lost for the Stamps. I am sure Stamps will find another LB especially the MLB. I heard that Blackmon I believed is supposed to be good.

I don't know about the first one. Both coach's and players stated he will catch on somewhere else based on his talent. But both also stated that there has to be mutual respect and a adherence to the rules. So it leads me to thinking he has been a problem child all along but his talent was a big mitigating factor. They finally were tired of his act and he managed to get himself booted off a championship team. That it won't be a blow is a complete fantasy on some fans part. He was a very, very important part of the defense.
They remove a distraction but they also remove a very talented player. The defensive line is already a maybe this year and now they have a big gap to fill in the linebacking corps. Then again if complacency was going to set in this year this will have sure woken them up in a hurry.
They will still put up points but I suspect the defense is going to take awhile this year to get up to snuff.

I am surprised, from the Stamps games I watched Armor seemed to be a beast out there. He has had soem terrible luck, first the BS ejection last season and now this. I wouldnt be surprised to see him picked up by another team.
Sportsnet had a stamps report, on one hand they mention Armour being dismissed for "hard hits" durring practice. Then they talk about his possible replacements and one guy who has stood out because of his "hard hits". I thought it was funny.

Sounds like Durant is playing better than Jyles. 14 straight Roughrider points with him back there.
14-10 Riders. That last touchdown off a Burris fumble. 34 yards first play after to Fantuz.

I bet this year ends up like last year where they play the hot hand every game.

I haven't been listening for a while.
4 minutes left, sounds like the Stamps are up by 1.

Fumble by the Riders on the punt return, more like he just plain missed it, Stamps pick up the ball and walk into the endzone.
2mins left Stamps up by 8. 27-19.

Stamps win 27-19. Not that it means much. CFL Preseason sucks.
