I wonder if Jack knows yet that Aaron is his nephew?

yeah but the previews were like "next episode, learn the last of the oceanic 6..."

how would he be Jack's nephew? the father is the ex-boyfriend of Claire who took off when she was pregnant, unless i missed something and that guy is Jack's brother

So much for Aaron being important. Remember everyone thought Aaron was going to be evil, or have powers, etc. From the psychic trying to get the baby to leave and the others kidnapping Claire.

Same here. But I just replayed it with closed captions on, and she does say "Aaron."

I think one of the more interesting question is WDF happens to check in the future. He seemed to be pretty together in the last episode - so what happened to him to cause him to grow the big 'ol beard and get all insane in the membrane?

I have to agree. One of the best episodes yet.
At least we know how much time has passed in the real world now!

That episode answered a lot of questions due to Desmond's time jumping.
Possible spoilers
The flashbacks and flash forwards that we're seeing with all of the characters have been explained discreetly if you want to make that leap of imagination. All of the characters are hopping back and forth in time due to the effect of the Islands radiation or electromagnetic energy.
We now can theorize that the Island is emitting either a natural source of radiation, or electromagnetic energy, and the device that Desmond and Locke destroyed was some kind of containment device. And it causes the time shifts.
Desmond has an anchor so I'm willing to bet that we see no jumps from him.
However we've seen Hurley go crazy in the future, we've seen a far distant bearded crazy Jack. We know that one of the characters ends up in a casket.
Now here's where I think I'm wacky, but the time shifts explain the miracle of Locke walking. All of the events that we see that cause his paralysis happens after he leaves the Island, so when he actually arrives the first time he can still walk, and when he's trying to get on the adventure tour that we saw at the start of the series, its his attempt to get back to the Island. Its a little far fetched, but it would explain a lot.
Every character right now is jumping back and forth through time, none have anchors. I'm betting there only a set number of survivors who can withstand the jumps when they're rescued.
And its happened before, we know that now because of the 1st mates log that nobody knew the contents of that was purchased by Hanso in 1996.
One thing that we know is that the radiation causes babies to die, is that because they short circuit like the rat?
Anyways, you have just read the ramblings of an insane man.
Carry about your business you.

I guess I'm alone in the feeling that this was the weakest episode of Season 4 to this point. I still enjoyed it, but I'd definitely rank it the lowest thus far.

I think you are alone. I really love the characters of Desmond and Daniel, and it was a pretty revealing episode.

Looks like you're alone here, Nik. To compare, I actually thought last week's "Eggtown" was the weakest ... contained a lot of 'so what' for me. I love Desmond's character and I suppose it makes sense that I enjoyed this episode so much ... I also enjoyed one of Desmond's episodes, "Flashes Before Your Eyes" that also has to do with time-jumping in a sense.
Daniel is a great character as well. Out of the boat people, Ireally only enjoy him and Lapidus, the other two haven't done much for me yet ...
I must be a total softie, but I was cheering when Desmond got the call through to Penny. That had to be (for me) one of the best moments of the entire series to this point.

Except there's been mention of Locke getting on the plane in a wheelchair; doesn't Ben mention that to him when he's trying to convince him of something? Locke could be able to walk now becose he's connecting to a time when he could walk; like how the 1996 rat was able to navigate the maze because she was connected to a time where she knew the maze.
