WOOT! I just scored a couple of passes and am going to the preview next Wednesday at sunridge! Can't wait. I'm a big comic guy and really hate comic book movies until Batman Begins came along.

Anyone else happy there's no Crazy Katie Cruise in this one? I haven't seen much of Maggie though.
I'm ecstatic that Katie Holmes is not in The Dark Knight. She was so distracting in Batman Begins, she almost ruined it for me. But then I haven't like her since she was on Dawson's Creek. Just the way she talks drives me crazy!

I've had a major crush on Maggie Gyllenhaal since seeing her in Stranger Than Fiction.
She looks like Kristen Dunst a bit to me.
I just watched secratary on Bravo I think, definately a bit on the strange side with the "hunger strike"

In case you needed another reason to see DK, there will be trailers for the Watchmen movie as well as the new Terminator flick due out next year, starring none other than Christian Bale as John Connor. Probably gonna be a teaser trailer as they are still filming, but as a huge Terminator guy, I'm pumped for this.
If you read enough reviews you can piece together twists in the movie.
If you read the Rolling Stone review, and then the review in Tribute Magazine (the free one at Empire Theatres, I'm assuming you have Tribute Magazine at the Empires out there) a fairly major twist jumps right out at you. Which kinda sucks
I'll post below in white if anyone wants my theory:
- According to Rolling Stone a major character is killed off.
- According to Tribute Magazine Harvey Dent's finance is killed.
- According to the previews Harvey is interested in Rachel Dawes.
- I'd be shocked if Rachel Dawes is not killed in this movie.
Sorry folks, it hit me as soon as I read the Tribute article

Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that's not an overstatement). It's the "Godfather II" of comic book films and three times more earnest than "Batman Begins" (and ****, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn't so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I'm not the first to suggest this, but he'll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor. ******* flick's nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece.
Just read Kevin Smith's review for The Dark Knight and I like the way he describes Heath Ledger's performance. I can't wait to see this movie.

I've hated every comic book movie I've ever seen, and didn't really expect anything different out of this one. However after having seen a few trailers I will be watching this one just for Heath Ledger's performance. He looks awesome in it!
